It must be utterly disheartening for a developer, spending 2-3 years of your entire life working on a game, only for it to be eradicated from history at the whim of a publisher.
The loss of Soulcalibur and Fuse content hurt me the most. I’m a completionist, and would like all pieces of content a game has to offer. Really bums me out that I’ll have to miss out on characters and costumes for these games.
I was working on the Punisher game and I can safely say that the delisting has nothing to do with the license (specially becouse Pinball FX games still had all Marvel tables after). The game simply bad and had poor reviews, so it got removed after not selling enough. Also, Zen lost a little bit of trust of Marvel becouse of this project, so that's why they never experiment too much with other genres than digital pinball games/tables.
Could you share the game with me? I really wanted to play this game because it had a trophy and the other Simpsons game on PS3 didn't have a trophy system🙏🏻
@@bernie3379 ever get any luck with that? recently upgraded my ps3 storage and have been hoping i can find someone to hook me up with a handful of delisted games
Physical Media is very important to games preservation however Game Updates and DLC for the games will no longer be accessible so even though we can stil play the base game, everything else will be lost to time with no Official way to preserve it which completely sucks. The only way to preserve the PS3 library is to jailbreak a PS3 and sail the seas to restore all delisted titles. This approach is not for everyone but this is the only way we can save the PS3.
@@BRUTALSHANZ1988This is why I love complete editions of games that come with all DLC right on the disc. It’s a huge bummer that a lot of complete editions nowadays just come with a voucher code instead of on-disc content.
I own all these games what should of got released was X-men Vs street fighter and marvel super heroes Vs street fighter the 2 games that failed on PS1 the marvel Vs capcom was also released on PS1 but was saved on Dreamcast the marvel Vs capcom 2 was on Xbox PS2 Dreamcast again that one didn’t fail and marvel super heroes was on the Saturn so it didn’t suck only if you would buy the PS1 version
That's so cruel. Buying an old console or rtx 40 series pc just to play ps3 games is just unfair. Sony's publishing only their latest games on pc, but not ps3 era games, making them collecting dust in the vault...

That’s a VERY good point!
Oh, hello you
It's not "eradicated" if you bought it in the past.
@@ballinn0430 If you bought it AND still have it on a hard drive. You can't re-download a lot of titles.
Indeed.

doesnt justify taking it out back
I can still download Simpsons Arcade on PS3 because I purchased it back in the day.

This kind of stuff is the reason I stick to physical media

I think if they're going to D-list these games... they need to allow us to use our computers to make a backup disk/ssd of our bought digital content.
I wish I could get that korra game
