My grandpa walter had a straight C allis for awhile. Good little tractor. My dad hoed alot of corn with it because the M farmall wasn't geared right for that job. Had a 2 row mounted planter too. Not the best in the hydraulics.
An excellent tractor to-this-day. Parts are still readily available.But It should of had 12 volts. It should of had better brakes as the band brakes were only self energizing in the forward direction only. Going backwards and using the brakes was futile. The hand clutch was easily worn out. AC sold almost 50,000 of them
