  • This is a mash up of a clips from projects where the video didn't work out. This is mainly clips of different ways that i've been using the Fireball Tool squares. i love these squares and i use them for everything!
    The first clip the mega squares held the plate and being so large also aligned the 1" tube to run parallel.
    the second clip was a jig to make 12 short "ladders". I used 3 mini monster squares to clamp at the width needed for the ladders. Then i simply placed 2 mini mega squares as the outside corners and just clamped them to the table solid. Then i used the 3 monster squares as the places for the rungs.
    3rd clip. i needed to make 8 identically spaced rungs for a custom shelf. The frame of the shelves was made with rectangle tubing but they wanted adjustable shelves made out of round tube. So the tube had to be spaced right as well as the bolt hole spacing and orientation. (this is one of the little jobs that drive you insane) it was made easy with these squares, i used the outside edge to keep the bolt holes square and little marks to line the pipe up.
    4th clip was a super simple table. the material was 2" and the big Mega squares have sides 3" tall. This allowed for me to push the material into the corner as i clamped it and it held the legs level as well as square to the frame. stupid easy.
    5th clip shows how easy it is to square up a tube to plate. the tabs make it very easy to hold something square while you clamp with your other hand.
    6th clip i needed to make some custom jackstand bases. I just eyeball locations while using the squares to make it look good.
    7th clip is just using a mega clamped to the side of the table to make it a more comfortable height to weld at.
    8th clip....easiest way to get perfect outside corner joints all the way around.
    Fireball Tool squares make fabricating better.

    I'm impatiently awaiting the arrival of a mini mega square to turn a stack of steel in my garage into a fab table. I love these videos, these tools are truly limited by your imagination.

    Your skill & know-how are exceptional, with your "sound-track", alone, making the video well worth running. Wish more people knew how to appreciate real music, rather than all this "tribal war" noise in vogue today. Thanks J. D. Don't want to miss any of your films.

    Me and my friends watch this just to see the Ironworker who listens to classical music. As rare as the mythical white moose, the politician who tells the truth, or Chinese power tool that works.

      Sounds like it is time to make a trolley to hold all your clamps and Fireball squares in one portable location. Easier to keep track of everything particularly if they travel out to site with you.
      Count them all out and count them all back in.

    I can’t afford those tools yet. But if I could man I would. Way to go by the way. Going to have to save stuff on my side projects. Hey when do you usually sell fire pits?? I made one and it’s not selling. Maybe cuz it’s 100 degrees in Idaho?

    • @markfryer9880
      @markfryer9880 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that 100 degrees Fahrenheit will tend to put off buyers of firepits.

    I knew a welder that smoked one under his hood , He caught it on fire one day , he was welding with 7018 jet rods he did not notice until it flamed up and got his eye brows!
