What Skip probably meant was "If you have a netherite ingot, maybe save it until you have enough diamonds for an axe because then you'll be doing the most damage per hit." Of course, it's not that simple, because netherite swords recharge to full power in less time, can hit multiple enemies, and last a lot longer when used as weapons. Plus, they're cheaper: you only need two diamonds, one stick, four netherite scraps, and four gold ingots to make a netherite sword, but to make a netherite axe, you need three diamonds, two sticks, four netherite scraps, and four gold ingots.

Oh, and did I mention that weapon base damage can be modified through commands? with the damage attribute modifications, you can go all the way up to what I believe is the 32-bit integer limit, or was it the 64-bit limit? whatever. I'm not "mining" the game code all over again to make a single comment. ;) Oh, and I forgot one thing, bows. A power 32767 bow with an instant harming 256 arrow at full charge should do anywhere between 37,629 and 41,730 hearts of damage. Edit: I just figured out that bows and potion arrow damage don't stack. The 32k power bow would actually do 36,861 to 40,962 hearts, adjusted for this bug in the game.

If a gold pick is faster than a diamond one, a gold sword should be stronger than a diamond one. It's still balanced because of the terrible durability. If players started using gold swords too often, then they could reduce the damage to the same as a diamond sword. I don't see why this isn't the case.

Though IMO the durability on tools (pickaxes, axes and shovels) is kinda annoying even if they are the fastest. I kinda think they should have a small buff too. If that were the case, leather armor would be faster than all other armor, and give you more protection. I presume not having armor would mean you'd be the same speed as leather armor. Or maybe Leather Armor can have a unique enchantment or something? I don't know what they could do to Leather Armor to make it useful that wouldn't impact the vanilla experience. I doubt people would be happy with the change I listed. Then again they were unhappy with the combat change I personally like so... I actually don't like how I can't buy bedrock, because I'm one of the people who prefer 1.9 combat. I'm a weirdo apparantly. So uh... Gold tools could be buffed Gold sword and axe could do more damage I feel like even gold pickaxes arent made when trying to do extensive caving so... that could get a slight buff i feel. i have a crossbow with quick charge, multishot and mending (all enchants are max) which is already a very strong crossbow but i added instant harming 2 arrows to it and it now 1 shots my friends in full prot 4 netherite (this is on bedrock edition and if all arrows hit)

It never said the fastest way to get killed just the most damage possible with a lot of god apples you can take a lot more damage while the rail cannon kills you instantly so I think my opinion is still the best also this video is in survival not creative in bedrock I'm pretty sure you still take void damage in survival.

@@businessmanbrute2211 You don't need all blast prot, in fact it's stupid to do that. One piece of blast prot and 3 of normal provide the maximum protection against explosives while still providing decent protection against other attacks and is what we use to not get one-shot from cpvp.
