- First time for me running Spartan at Belvoir ! I've done a few other events here so was looking forward to the challenge :) a warm and tough day completed
Part 1 of the trifecta done ! sprint and super to go !
This is the ultimate Spartan test; a challenging 13.1-mile course teeming with 30 obstacles that require strength, skill, and grit. Elevation changes and uneven terrain will leave your lungs and legs burning. The Beast is notorious around the world for its degree of difficulty.

That bag carry under the barbwire was so hard, I think I carried an extra 3 stone of mud with me for the rest of the race!
It was emotional haha ! I had a swim in a small pond just before the spear throw to shake some of it off !
I finished my first Spartan in Vietnam 5 days ago. It had so much fun. I got stuck in the 3 Hurdles. It took me more than 10 mins to get over them and I got hurt so much ahaha. Thank you for sharing your video and your fitness journey. Spartan BEAST looks fun and more challenging.

I did the sprint on Sat and the Super on Sunday. The bag carry under the barbwire is definately the hardest. cannot move forward and keep sliding back down hill... Well done getting the Beast done, looking forward to mine in August
@johncmwu the technique for it is definitely to roll with it. I did it on all three races and it was the most effective and fastest way to get out of it haha !

I saw you passing by at the barbwire ! 17:24 that’s me pushing painfully the sandbag. That was hell 😅 well done on your race !

Please may i ask:
1. How long did it take you, so i can have an idea of times? 3 hrs, 6hrs I have no idea.
2. I assume the 30 obstacle one is the other 2 plus more rather than a separate route.
3. Is this the only one of it's type in the midlands?
4. Do they have showers?

@DeanUK hello there absolutely I'll do my best to answer
1. The beast took me this year just over 3 hours to complete. I tend to look at it as double what my road half marathon would be
2. The beast which is the 20 obstacles is the same route as the others it's just shorter and less obstacles for the sprint and super but you see alot of the same route.
3. This is the only beast distance for the Midlands. They o ly currently do the super sprint and beast for the Midlands weekend
4. There are hose down stations, I wouldn't say they are as prim as showers but they do the job to wash off the worst of the muck from the race
