Amen all Glory to Our Lord God. I love how you are always showing our Lord God for who He really is and what His truth is saying, there are so many who think that they can still do whatever they want. God Bless you and your family Abundantly for your courage and loyalty to our Lord God.
This sermon was so inspired and inspiring. I listened to this sermon after listening to John MacArthur's sermons on "Living a Life that Matches your Faith 1 & 2." I am looking forward to Part 2 to hear more. Thank You!
Having been a Christian for over 40 years,I still wonder if my behavior is so poor that I am only deceived about being saved. If our security is in our behavior and we cannot be thankful that the shed blood of Jesus has saved us despite ourselves, then I am in huge trouble and wondering who will be in Heaven. As I have been friends with many role models such as preachers and elders, finding that most were adulterers, abusers, crooked businessmen, etc I am becoming more confused about salvation than ever.
I want to try and offer words of encouragement because I don't want your comment to go unanswered. First of all, don't give up on Jesus or yourself. If you once made the choice to believe in Jesus and commit your life to him, recommit your life to him now. Hopefully you listened to Part 2 of the message BTW. Dont forget: “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13) Now, we're all going to sin it is inevitable, I think the fact that you notice your behavior is the first good step/sign. I think you just need to start being accountable to someone, a friend from church, someone you can trust, to help you with your behavior. You'll find you don't want to have to tell them what you've been doing wrong so you'll stop doing it to begin with. One encouraging thing I learned is that Martin Luther really had doubts about his salvation, but he said “All heaviness of mind and melancholy come from the devil". God loves us and wants us, and although its not a license to sin, his grace is bigger than our capacity to sin us out of our salvation. Keep coming back to him, repent, ask for his help, we can't do it alone.
The devil chuckled, finally supreme. The heavy nail graced his palm. It was grace and palms that led the way. But the medias loved Arius' songs. To lie, media coverage. False true news in cuniform. History certainly repeats itself, As led by greed, we never learn. And there it was, ready to cry blood. His wrist, like my exposed heart. That nail driven by force, invaded. The blood spilled painting dark art. It sat lodged commanding attention. My life revolved around that rust. I starved myself, cried an ocean That could not be squelched by dust. The Resurrector said accept the nail As He offered His wrist, no complaint. And God waits for our eyes to focus on Him. See how He deals with death and blame? I thought God would pull that nail From the painful cleft in my heart. I think like a silly human girl. Thankfully God's every smart. His touch and soft guidance dissolved That iron and injury of grief. He made it strength of spirit, And granted I begin to bud and leaf. They scored His hand to severe Flesh in earthly command for soul. So instead of holding dust and our sin He takes the lead, opens acres unknown. Instead of suffer on the nail, Wake to empty grudge and plans. He will fill all purpose, blessing. All He seeks is your open hand. ~ kk

Excellent!
The devil chuckled, finally supreme.
The heavy nail graced his palm.
It was grace and palms that led the way.
But the medias loved Arius' songs.
To lie, media coverage.
False true news in cuniform.
History certainly repeats itself,
As led by greed, we never learn.
And there it was, ready to cry blood.
His wrist, like my exposed heart.
That nail driven by force, invaded.
The blood spilled painting dark art.
It sat lodged commanding attention.
My life revolved around that rust.
I starved myself, cried an ocean
That could not be squelched by dust.
The Resurrector said accept the nail
As He offered His wrist, no complaint.
And God waits for our eyes to focus on Him.
See how He deals with death and blame?
I thought God would pull that nail
From the painful cleft in my heart.

Thankfully God's every smart.

That iron and injury of grief.

And granted I begin to bud and leaf.
