I have tried EVERYTHING to soothe my 9 year old Shih Tzu during rainy nights. He has a Thunder-Shirt on, he has a crate to escape to, I try cuddling him, gave him some calming powder, I put this music on; as well as the lights in my room...nope! Still a neurotic mess. I'm losing my damn mind.
Awww :( try closing the blinds, and maybe turning the light off! It may be overwhelming for him if you turn on the light.
@@puppeteerpuppet528 This is at nighttime. The blinds are closed, and the light is usually off. He's scared of the dark when it's raining, he's way more spooked by the noise and drop in air pressure than the appearance of rain. Turning the light on; actually soothes him more (but not completely), as it simulates daytime; when he feels more safe. But it's impossible to sleep with a light glaring in your face, and a Shih Tzu still trying to burrow under my bed.
@@PeninsulaPaintings oh, ok! Does sound help at all? If it does, maybe you could try this one, or any of the other songs they have! Maybe it could drown out the thunder/rain!

@@puppeteerpuppet528 It depends on how loud the rain/storm is. If it's light enough, he can sleep through it okay, if there's thunder or it hits our roof too hard and constant - he gets spooked and won't calm down until it stops - which more often than not; isn't until the next morning, because our local weather HATES me!

Nope! Not all dogs sleep to it. It’s relaxation music, so they’ll be calmer, but not all dogs sleep from it! My dog isn’t sleeping either! My other one is tho. :D
