Absolutely love this episode like the many others! I feel like this is a good one for Lily to do. Lol mainly because I thought of her when I read hangover. Lol I absolutely love you guys. @@haileynovak9539 IVs also have a lot of risks one shouldn't just be exposing themselves to for little reason. If you're so dehydrated you need an IV drip you need to go to the hospital not one of these places. If not consuming water the normal way is a far better option.

I hate to be that person, but people don't do this. If you are dehydrated drink some water and Gatorade, take some tyelonol. I am dependant on TPN and IV fluids and medication, to keep me alive there is currently a shortage of saline and certain vitamins due to the hurricanes in Puerto Rico. These type of clinics waste products and things that could be used in the hospital or for home use

There hasn't been a shortage of banana bags. 1. Hospitals receive sterile bags empty. 2. They create the 0.9% saline:water, meaning NaCl and sterilized and filtered water, totally locally sourceable. 3. Vitamins are always in overproduction and moving from a saline bag to a banana bag is the addition of some vitamins. 4. Heatseal the bag shut and send them upstairs for use.

It’s okay Erin I also have tiny veins. They had to use the same size needles that they use for babies last time I got an iv...mine wasn’t voluntary. I was also having a panic attack because I’m afraid of needles and they had to stick me 6 times to get one to work. There were 4 nurses gathered around me slapping my arms trying to find decent veins 😂
RedChaosify Reviews the worst!!! And then they pushed some extra saline through mine because it was swelling to see if it was working...it wasn’t. Felt like my hand was about to fall off 😒
I got stuck 12 times once before I lost it and told them to get a different nurse or i was gonna stab her in the eye with the iv. She was searching under the skin and shit too.

I usually try it up to two times in kids and up to three times in adults before I get and get another nurse to help me out. (And even tho I’m on the other side most of the time, I can feel your pain. I have tiny veins and a fear of needles too)
this is basically the epitome of how messed up U.S healthcare. People who can afford it get access to I say somewhat useless healthcare whereas someone who actually needs these vitamins and what not survive can’t get it

If you’re unaware, the US has reached a saline shortage due to the Puerto Rico hurricane. The companies that advertise saline use for hangovers or stress relief are at fault for this. Many people suffer from illnesses that force them to be dependent on saline. Companies like these take from the chronic illness community who are now left at a desperate standpoint for saline. I personally have multiple chronic illnesses, one them being life threatening. I require weekly saline infusions. If you could find it in your heart, please refrain from using these companies for hangovers or hydration when you can still access fluids orally!! Taking an Advil before your drinks and pedialyte (or other electrolyte dense fluids) works wonderful in preventing hangovers & staying hydrated.

I love you guys so dearly but this broke my heart. I suffer from a number of chronic illnesses one of them being life threatening all of them being debilitating. I rely off iv therapies. There is a national saline shortage and companies alike these are wrongful for using saline to cure something preventable. You can prevent a hangover, even cure it without an iv. But there is no preventing chronic illness.

@@ReplyGuy22345 it also has to be good enough to put in your veins, so it has to lack bacteria and organisms, so that's a bit trickier than just adding salt to water.

It’s ok Erin. I have tiny veins. I had a doctor have to put the needle in 4 times before they actually got a vein. They literally couldn’t find it. That tired in 3 different places on my arms and wrists. One time they hit an artery. It was great.

Random thought, how come they’re using butterfly needles rather than a cannula ?
Usually a butterfly is used for drawing blood not putting more into the body because a cannula is a rubber tube that covers the needle and when it’s inserted the needle is removed leaving the little tube in so that things can pass through the veins easier

I had to go through emergency and got an IV it was the worst feeling ever. It was cold and uncomfortable. Felt like torture...Then I got a another one right after and it made me feel wonderful!
I automatically got so excited like usual when I seen this. I've been wanting you guys to do this for like ever!!!! Dreams do come true!
One time nurses couldn't find my vein to give pain killer. They tired changing rooms, lights, position. I was in so much pain and they were so sympathetic I felt bad for them too. Finally one nurse who was probably most experienced one able to do that. Phew!! But I found out that my veins ARE really hard to find. Had similar experience again few other times.

Aww Erin has tiny veins like I do. Ask for a butterfly needle next time and wear a warm pack and stay warm before the iv. I have blood draws that were every 6 months and now they're every month.

Erin, girl, I have tiny veins that are hard to find too. Because of it, I've had iv's in the back of my hands and my wrist. On one occasion I had a nurse put the needle in my right arm and not be able to find my vein, go to my left arm and do the same thing, go to my left hand and, you guessed it, miss again (that was owie), and in finally get a vein in my right hand (also owie). I'm not as happy as you are about it, Erin.
I'm watching this kinda late, but it blows my mind that people would voluntarily get an IV drip for vitamins if they weren't dying in a hospital. I have a chronic blood condition, so I have to get blood transfusions sometimes, and two years ago I got really sick and had to get 6 units of blood in 4 weeks. Sometimes it takes 6 hours a day because they have to get my blood type from the blood bank which takes 2 hours, and then two units of blood for 2 hours each. I don't mind needles, but to me getting an IV drip is not that fun and I do get bored, so unless I need it, I'm not going to spend money or time getting one
