  • In continuation of my 12 nights challenge I took a trip to the Porcupine Mountains in Michigan with some friends. This is about a 6 hour drive from Minneapolis.
The Weather was in the 70ºs during the day and got as cold as 50º at night. We hike around a 20 mile loop. Got caught in a pretty torrential downpour. Some of us get pretty wet.
The trails were well marked and there were a few downed trees on our route which made it a little more difficult. Streams we easy to cross as there was not too much water.
By the end of the 4th day a few of us had blisters, but we prevailed and finished strong for our hike.
Please Note: As of March 2018 you need a backcountry permit for the site you will be occupying. This is a updated policy. It is no longer first come first serve
