Yes.. i had that experience with Google maps when i was in Tokyo. Made me lost my ways several times. I suspected it happened because too many tall buildings around, the gps couldn’t triangulate properly.
The Pocket and the GRIII seems to be a great combo for being relatively stealthy to shoot the street - great shot Jay! I got myself the PGYI neck moint, which work with the Pocket, but I feel extremely stupid wearing that setup around my neck while shooting POV video :D Also I found it not as ideal when wearing a camera neck strap in parallel. Here everytime I pick up the camera to take a shot, the strap potentially gets in front of the lens of the Pocket. I'm now thinking about a clip setup and clipping the Pocket to one of the bag straps, but then the field of view for POV is not in the middle anymore for real POV view experience ... perfectionist thoughts :D
Waiting at lights is just a normal thing in Japan. They like to follow rules here. I live in Japan and it was strange at first for me too, but you get used to it.
I actually sold my gr3x for a xs20 because I wanted to get into video also. It’s been a blast because the xs20 is such a great camera but damn do I miss my gr3x
@@josephalmazan4805I had the gr3 when it first came out, was a great camera and I’ll probably get one when they finally drop a gr4. I sold a Leica q2 and got the xs20 as I wanna try video. Hopefully won’t be disappointed, just got a viltrox 13mm delivered this morning so I can finally try it out
Hey Jay, would you say the Ricoh GR III (not the IIIx) is beginner friendly for a newbie street photographer who's just starting out? I've stumbled upon one for £855 in 'like new' condition from Amazon and I'm really tempted. Let me know your thoughts!
@@Jay_Ducker Bummer! It sold out just as I was about to purchase it. It's incredibly frustrating how rare this camera is right now, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Sold out pretty much everywhere.
FINALLY! Bit my tongue and bought a brand new one off eBay for £955 from a seller with 100% rating. Due to be delivered this Friday. Excited! Thanks for the inspiration!
Over here in Poland, waiting for green light as a pedestrian is normal thing to do. No one goes when it's red, unless they are drunk or drugged basically. I thought it was just common sense but I guess not xD
@@Jay_Ducker After seeing your reviews on both I think I'll get the x-s20 because of the interchangeable lens, the video features although I'm more of a photo guy and the battery life. I'm going to Vietnam so I'm a little bit worried about the overheating and the fact that is not wether sealed, do you think it will be a problem for a normal use with no barely no long video??

Lovely photos! Was the walking vlog with the pocket 3?
Thank you - Yes it was!
Omg , I just got my gr3 hdf. And this video is so much fun . I love it 💜plz film more gr3 video 😭
I’m new to gr3x, just got it a couple of weeks ago. May I know which setting on metering/ focus to make such a great contract on shadow and light?

what did you film this on? Made me miss my GRIII but got an XS20 coming this week (want to get into video)
Filmed on the DJI Pocket 3. Fair enough, XS20 will be perfect for that

If you have an iPhone you don’t need to buy tickets - you can add a transit pass to the wallet app
Ok great 👍

Ok so I’ve just read that Japan have strict laws when it comes to Jaywalking. You can be fined apparently
@@Jay_Ducker same in here 😉
What do you film the walk and talk on ?
The DJI OSMO POCKET 3
RICOH GRIIIx or x-s20??
Tough one. Depends on your needs
