Karen, thank you. I wrote this about a week after mom died. It wasn't until I finished writing it and finally played through it that I cried for my mother. I held it all in until I could express it with music. I live in the sunshine of the arts and sometimes in the storms, but it is always where I connect with my soul. The arts bring me to where I need to be. It is the arts that bring me awareness and understanding, it is the arts that teach me about joy and suffering, it is the arts that allows me to catch a glimpse of God.
