CHICAGO MUSIC, What upgrades did the new FIX company do to the echo unit to make it better? you didn't mention anything at all as to what the company did to make the echo unit better for the road and not break down.
They were referring to the reliability and performance of modern components vs those used in the vintage units that inspired the EF-E2. Here’s some information from the Echo Fix website for more context. We spent three years prototyping, rigorously testing, and meticulously designing in secret - while accounting for every possible application. We couldn't find a new production motor good enough so we made our own and invested in the latest high tech machinery to custom balance them in house here at Echo Fix. We could not find tape heads that sounded good enough so we had custom tape heads manufactured to our exact specs. One of the other important things when it comes to reliable tape echo operation is the tape loop. We thoroughly researched tape and have a tape formulation that not only lasts a very long time but sounds incredible as well, that is how far we were willing to go to make the EF-X2 reliable and sound great. Hope that helps!
In this video they literally say Echofix designed their own motor because nothing in existence was good enough and that the heads were re-engineered to their specs.
@@hoover728 The Motor, the tape heads, and tape quality. The tape getting jammed , tape slippage, tape drift they different fix these problems it seems

Guitar World Rejoice
What's that 60's LP Nathaniel is playing? Murphy Lab? 😉 Asking for a friend.... 😅
T-Rex Binson Echorec $2100.00. Echo Fix EFX-X2 $2100.00. Take a long hard look at 2 very different tape delays.
Incredible sound, but Can’t stand self oscillation it’s so annoying why do delay demos insist on doing this?
