Back in the late 90's I led an offroad camping trip (current term would be "overlanding") through this area of Nevada. We stumbled across this course on a practice day. Exotic car after exotic car would come careening down the road at speeds we had never seen in the wild before. Needless to say, we didn't camp or offroad that day; we just parked the trucks in a line and sat back to enjoy the spectacle. Very impressive!
