It's a happy ending because the two people in the mueseum who looked at each other were Aida and Radames. They were reincarnated, because Radames said he would search a thousand lifetimes till he found her again.
Disney was supposed to make this into an animation film first, but then decided to do a live action movie instead. Beyonce Knowles was cast as Aida and Christina Aguilera as Amneris. I think they were planning to release it in 2007 or 2010 but it never had happened. And Disney was back on planning to make the movie and planning to release it around this year but instead they make In to the Woods. I wish Disney would still continue on making this broadway musical play into a movie. It would've been awesome.
Yeah. I was thinking about it too. If Disney make this into animated/live action movie. it will be the first Disney princess film to have 2 princesses in one movie.
I saw this almost 7-8 years ago in a theater with a 360 stage and the thing they were buried in was a triangular prism and they were little kids when they met at the museum not adults. I think both versions are great though :)
