That high soprano is legendary. But I love the low alto woman with the long black hair. Her voice is beautiful. The little boy is actually the son of the soloist in this video! 💖
Voctave are an 11 member group. Some of the very early videos do not have all the members in them. Since Covid 2 male members have left the group and 2 new males have joined, so the balance is still the same. Jamie Ray (one of the tenors) does all the arrangements for the group :)
Wonderful reaction! EJ Cardona is a member of Voctave and sings on occasion with Voiceplay as does his brother Omar. Geoff Castellucci said once in a chat that the brothers voices can't be done justice by a recording you really have to hear them live to really appreciate their quality. All of Voctave's voices are top notch including their "special" guests. "Where Are You Christmas" is from The Grinch movie and anyone that doesn't shed a tear at the end isn't human.
The guy middle top is the one who does all the arrangements for the group, in the Oh Come All Yea Faithful video reaction part of this video. The basses you mentioned in the reaction of the song Oh Come All Yea Faithfu, is the black man on the right and the gentleman straight above him, and also the man lower left next to the gentleman doing the solos, just to let you know since you didn't know who they were thought to point that out.
This is the group that EJ Cardona is a member of. His voice is beautiful. He steps out first to sing. He has done a couple videos with VoicePlay, I Can't Make You Love Me, and Go The Distance. his brother Omar has done many and even sang with them on stage with Chicago in Atlantic City last month.
Thank you so much for these reactions. Tiffany the soprano sings OH Holy Night and holds long note at the end. Everything I watch Where are you Christmas I bawl like a baby. Hope Cindy had tissues handy.
If no one else mentioned it, 'Where are You Christmas', was from the late 90s movie, 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' with Jim Carey. The original version was sung by Faith Hill, a female country singer. I really enjoy your reactions. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
That’s EJ Cardona, Omar’s brother who you might be familiar with from singing with VoicePlay a lot. EJ has also sang with VoicePlay a couple of times including Go The Distance. Jamey Ray founded Voctave and does their arrangements.. He is a genius. Please also react to their cover of Mary Did You Know. It features the writer and will blow your mind and you might want tissues handy ❤
Mary did you know by voctave featuring Mark Lowry . Gives it a special new meaning. Also to answer the question of who is doing the high notes , that would be Kate. It is by far my favorite version of this song. Just pure magic. Also if you like the bass so much, for fun do their version of You're a mean one Mr Grinch. Enjoy
Very talented group... and they have a set of lungs on them! I loved the brightness of the female soloist in the last song... you could hear her smiling. Very sweet ending.... wasn't expecting that.
Great reaction! These are two of my favorite Voctave songs, along with Mary, Did You Know (feat. Mark Lowry) which a lot have already recommended and for good reason. When you watch that one tho, keep in mind Mark has MS, that’s why he’s sitting on a stool while the rest are standing, but he also has a wickedly long note. (In an interview Mark said he never dreamed his song could sound that good.) Two songs that really showcase their ability to be a vocal orchestra are the new Nuctcracker Medley, and The Great Movie Medley (an homage to John Williams). Jamey Ray knocks it out of the park with both of those arrangements. The song Someday has a solo for everyone in the group. But if you want a long one with a ton in it, listen to the Prince of Egypt Medley. There is no video just sound track but it is phenomenal! To be perfectly honest, you could not go wrong with any of their songs. They are the finest and always the consummate professionals so nothing is put out that isn’t perfection.
"Where are you Christmas" is from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" made for TV movie. It's sung in the movie by the character Lucie Lou. I don't know who the vocal actor was. This child **nails** the part. I'm sure he's heard it a lot.
Great reaction! Voctave is amazing! I’ve seen them live in concert as well as many of them singing with Voices of Liberty in Epcot. They are just as impressive in person. I strongly encourage you to listen to Mary Did You Know featuring Mark Lowry, who wrote the song. It is the best version of the song you will ever hear!
There is another reason for them to look at him, not just to showcase EJ as the soloist. It helps them time their entrances and exits around him as there is no conductor for the performance so they can time off of him. If you watch Austin Brown/Rob Lundquist from Home Free do "Nessun Dorma," Austin does the same thing. It's an old choir trick.
Looking at the lead singer is important especially when singing a capella. You need to watch when he is moving along in the song. They all live in the Orlando area. Austin Brown the high tenor in Home Free sang in the Voices of Liberty chorus for about a year. The women in this group are strong enough to carry the song.
New 🇨🇦 Subscriber, here for more #Voctave! PLEASE rect to their version of Mary, Did You Know feat. Mark Lowry the lyricist who sings it like no other as he penned the words. (Keep in mind when watching that he now has MS, which is why he is seated.) Other Christmas favs are The Christmas Song and O Holy Night (get out your timer!), All is Well, and You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch. Finally their latest video (released in the last 2 weeks) will amaze, The Nutcracker Medley.
The current Voctave members have stayed the same for a while. There are 11 members. Same ones for a while now. How did you come to review this or other groups? I’ve not seen you review before. Voctave is the purest sound heard. They are amazing and everyone of them is ultra talented. Are you both music people? Thanks for the review.

Geoff Castellucci also sings with EJ’s wife and her group, The American Sirens, in his version of Mele Kalikimaka. That would be one to check out too.
@@joetaptaco One of my personal favorites.
I just saw them in concert this past Wed and they sound just like this in person, got crazy chills!

Stunning!✨🎤🎶Incredibly beautiful.
And that little kid singing…Awwww… adorable!
Too cute

I knew you would like it.
One breath with a key change. Holy Shi-. Talent!
He's very talented
Fantastic we all know Disney only have the best and voctave have just giving us something special. Great reaction ryan and Cindy. 👌
Thank you Keith 😊

"Where are you Christmas?" is from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" and was sung by Cindy Lou Who.
That's where I'd heard it before. Thanks.
That's what I thought.
When someone tells you to have tissues ready for Voctave, please take them seriously. 😊 Great reactions as always, you two!
Thank you! Will do!

Professional choirs are trained to look directly at soloists. Directs the attention to the soloist.
Oh, okay 👍

They are amazing
You're right--6 men and 5 women. They just blend so well!
Like a wall of sound.
@@TouchyReactions They call Voctave "an orchestra of voices". I think that's a pretty apt description.
Where are you Christmas is from the movie The Grinch
Thank you 😊
Have you watched the Nutcracker Medley from Voctave yet? It’s spectacular!

Thanks Natalie 😊. They were recommended to us from fans through our other reactions. So glad they did too. This is high-quality music 🎶.
I guess.you.haven't listened to Votive do "Princess Medley" May I suggest it.
We have done it already. You can find it on my channel.
Complimenti siete bravissimi, se potete reagire al " Principe di Egitto" e' bellissimo un capolavoro, grazie, ciao
