Hello Alena. I can't help but wonder how amazing the sky looks, how the blue turns into orange. Like an expensive masterpiece. Unfortunately we cannot avoid trolling on YT. But who cares, we don't make videos for them, but for our memories and for the people who want to watch them and enjoy them. Have a nice weekend. Sretana and Zac.🤘😁🤗
You are '100 % correct, I never let it bother me, I just delete, smile, move on and forget. I was so lucky with the sun rising, just as I reached the top - magic. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Big thumbs up from us as ever Alan 😊👍. Don't think we have ever seen Orrest head look more lovely, or seen it so quiet! Perhaps we need to hit it earlier next time 👌. It really is a beautiful view point, and just a short hop from windermere, accessible for all, fantastic 👍. Great advice on having thick skin with you tube too, my late mum always use to say if you haven't got anything nice to say, then say nothing at all, but then not everyone seems to join that school of thought these days🙈. Thanks for taking us along Alan, All the best Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
First time up there for me, despite me wanting to do it for years, so happy to finally get up there and even more happy to see the sun rising over the Fell tops as well. Real good of you to watch, cheers Alan
Thanks for watching and a very short but also very enjoyable walk to the top, made even better by being met by the sun just as I got there too. Cheers Alan
My childhood manor! it's changed a lot since I was a lad 😲🤔 We used to go up there on our bikes... more fun riding down than pushing up! It's a cracking view, thanks for sharing cheers Alistair 👍
Thanks Alistair and good to hear from you again, hope all is well. First time at the top for me, yet a small Fell I have wanted to climb for years but could never get a parking space lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Alan it's so gorgeous here and great to follow in the footsteps of Alfred Wainwright. You got off early and it did look cold. You gave good advice about TH-cam and you were honest, that person was not nice what he said but like you said, some will like our channels and some won't and to have a think skin ! I love your videos and lots of others do too 😃 You had amazing views and I don't know how you do it but your footage is always so good. The points of interest board was really good and I agree that the council have done a great job in making that place so accessible for people. A really good place for a family walk. Beautiful 👍~ Anna
Thanks so much for watching and your very kind words, which I appreciate. Such a good little walk, idea for a family and to be honest, anyone who wants to get to the top will be able too, they have done a great job making this Fell 100% accessible. Cheers Alan
Beautiful day Alan, though it looks cold! It’s interesting to learn more about Alfred Wainwright and his hill walking, gray to see where he fell in love with the Lake Disrrict ❤❤. When I first started watching TH-cam videos I had no idea what a Wainwright was, lol! I’m sure Mrs Metalman will enjoy walking with you on a warmer day. ☀☀Good answer to the YT question too, sorry to hear someone said that to you … you’re one of the most friendly people I’ve met on TH-cam, and you set a great example for new channels, in my humble opinion! 😄👌😎😎 Cheers, Jen 🌟🌟
Thanks very much for watching and such a beautiful day, it was -7C (19F) when I had arrived so the 4 inches of snow had hardened making hiking difficult without my spikes but I still had a great day, cheers Alan
Appreciate you stopping by Doug and a small Fell, a very small fell but one that packs a real big reward at the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Funny thing I had no intention of doing this at all, I was on the way to Holme Fell but saw the empty layby, swerved across the road (nearly caused an accident) and thought why not. Real pleased I did and the view and the rising sun were both amazing. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Really great they did alternative way that works for more people. And as always a great view too. Just hope for a fast Spring... Have a great evening and cheers 🦇🖤🦇
Thanks so much for watching and this was such a nice walk, so gentle to get to the top and a walk anyone could do. So pleased the sun came up over the Fell tops just as I got there, made it even better, cheers Alan
Thanks very much for watching and has to be the easiest Fell in the Lakes to climb, anyone and everyone can do this one and you sure are rewarded with a great view too, cheers Alan
Never been up there Alan. Yep Wainwrights first one - the fell that made him fall in love with the lakes - and it was Wainwright that made me fall in love with lakes. So maybe I should get up there. YT can be a bear pit mate - yep laugh it off and ignore! Absolutely gorgeous Sunrise from up there Alan - superb We loved our stay up there - must get back soon.
My thoughts exactly, laugh it off and ignore, life is far too short to worry about anything like that. A real nice little walk if you are passing on the Kendal to Windermere road, a gentle 20 minutes to the top with an amazing view to greet you. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I could have sat on one of those seats all day but I was due some place else so had to move but had a great time while I was there. Thanks very much for watching, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Another very nice hike, loved the views and the sunrise. Good that the handicapped can use it. Thanks for sharing the video and some history of the trail. Enjoy the week.
Thanks very much for watching and I got really lucky catching the sun rising, just as I got to the top, such a great view and such an easy walk too, cheers Alan
A walk that absolutely anyone can do, so little effort required but the views all around at the top were amazing. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Such a wonderful walk. I love the amazing ligths from the top. The views are awsome. Its so nice to get out in this time of year a lot of good fun is waiting out there....
I was so lucky the sun was just rising when I got to the top and the views were amazing. Not a big climb but one that sure give you a big reward for very little effort. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Thanks so much for stopping by and your kind words, which I appreciate. Such a nice gentle walk to to top yet such a great reward when you get there, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. Wonderful mate, what a cracking little hill with amazing views. And it’s always lovely to see a little Robin. Thanks for sharing your small adventure, all the best. Dave 😀⛰🥾
Glad you enjoyed it and a fist time up there for me but what a great view you get for there, I was real happy, especially catching the sunrise too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great history about Orrest Head and Wainwright. Lovely morning light and you have the trail to yourself. Wow, brand new bench! Love the honesty on the canny lads. Absolutely right though a thick skin is very necessary! This is a cracking trail. Nice that they have an accessible route up as well. Wow, all those benches and a lovely view too. Id take the miles without styles path down too, much better on the knees. 👍
That sure was the best route up and down and brilliant there are so many benches on the way up and on the top. A real Fell for everyone and the space and the benches for everyone to enjoy that amazing view as well. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Glad you like them and I was so lucky getting to the top just as the sun was rising over the Fell tops, such a glorious sight to behold. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, you're absolutely right - you need to develop a thick skin if you're going to put yourself out there and become a TH-camr! The wintry sun bathed everything in a beautiful light. The scenery was absolutely stunning. A truly lovely walk. Thanks Alan - have a great week! ❤🤗
Thank you and yes, there is always going to be some negatively when you push yourself out there but I always just smile, move on and totally forget all about it, life is far too short to worry about anything like that. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Wow fantastic views up there Alan. Couldn’t get the song Sun a rise early in the mornin. Out of my head. Didn’t look too bad route even for a fatty like me 😂. And love the idea of the path being accessible for people less mobile or with wheels. Looked a great peaceful walk on the day too. Have a great week mate. And we will see you soon. 👍🏻🚶🏻♂️🚶♀️
To be honest it is a walk that anyone can do, not matter your ability or disability and such a big reward when you get there too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Love the intro Alan. "So I think I'll walk and talk" Cracked me up! I too like you have never been up to Orrest Head but after watching your video I'll have to do it. Really enjoyed and what a view you had. That's what you call getting a lot of bang for your buck. You had the added bonus of nobody up there which I bet is unusual considering all that seating.
Yes, I have heard it is a real busy summit with it being so accessible but mid week, just after 08.00 it was ideal, especially with the sun just rising as well - what a view! Thanks so much for watching, cheers Alan
You would have no trouble at all Peter, a real nice easy and very family friendly path up the 'miles without stiles' route and so much to see on the way up, as well as on the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Good walk and talk. Nice trail plus a bench! Love those rock fences. Nice view at the top. Perfect light in the clouds. Benefit of the cold is lack of crowds. Cheers, like and all the best to you
Glad you enjoyed it and you are right about the cold and lack of people, never saw one person, which suited me real fine. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
Stunning views. Like yourself, I always drive on past as the laybys are always full. I'll set off out a bit earlier next time in the hope of getting a parking spot and seeing those sunrise views, beautiful. Thanks Alan 🙂
A perfect family walk Nicola and a walk anyone, with any ability or disability would be able to do, such a fantastic view for so little effort. Drove passed those laybys today with Mrs Metalman and they were both empty, pity if was bucketing down with rain mind. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it Anthony and a small Fell with a massive view, been wanting to get up there for years, real pleased I finally did it. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Nice one as always Alan. Not sure why anyone would not want to watch your channel! Orrest Head was our first fell in the Lakes, went up a totally different way to you, after the summit we went over fields and forest, got a bit lost but eventually circled back, but it gave us a great experience. That wide path up is a brilliant help to many and make the fell accessible to all. We are currently suffering in 23 degree heat in Fuertaventura!! No ice here, just ice cream!! Hope you made it to Coniston. Regards, Ashley and Andrea
I think I remember that video and saying I must do this Fell, all these years later I have finally got up there albeit unintentionally. I was on the way to Holme Fell but saw the empty layby and pulled it (almost causing an accident), real pleased I did as the view was amazing. We just got back from an overnighter in Grasmere, hotel amazing but weather awful and defo not 23C! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
This is again a well made video of you. Looks like a great hike. It's so beautiful there. Wonderful nature and fantastic views. I really enjoyed watching. Many greetings 😀
Thank you very much! A real easy walk but you are rewarded with some great views once you do get to the top. First time for me but I will go there again. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Gosh some beautiful views on this. The colour of that sunrise is amazing. Haha it makes you smile when thousands of people love what you do and then someone comes along and says they wernt that keen... well each to their own & great that you weren't offended haha The views from the top were stunning. The wheelchair friendly path looked pretty good ... gravel is a wheelchairs worst enemy but this looked quite firm. When I see these paths I remind myself that one day I'll need paths like these & only hope someone will be around to give me a push up. Interesting to see this route, somewhere I've not been for a long time so a return visit perhaps on the cards soon 😊
One thing for sure I know I am not everyone's cup of tea and I think as long as you realise that when you start a channel you should not have any problems. Any negativity I have I just delete it, smile and move on, life is far too short for stuff like that. The 'miles without styles' is a great route to the top and the gravel is really well compacted down too, so a Fell that absolutely anyone could do. We were going to do it today on the way back from Grasmere but the weather was awful but will be back again for sure. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Not everyone's cup of tea...I would consider it an honour to sit down and have a cup of tea with you any day!! Haven't encountered much negativity myself...and the one I remember was rather mild, but deleted and blocked them anyway! lol WOW...look at that view and the SKIES!!! Awesome stuff!! All the best to more great adventures in 2024!
Thanks for the kind words, very much appreciated and like you I always get rid of any negatively, smile and out it all behind me lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Look like a nice hike and nothing too crazy. Especially if you think you can take Miss Metalman on it. Great Views at the top. It definitely looks cold.
You got that right, it was really cold but great when the sun came up, it looked and felt a whole lot better. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Really nice views up there mate , nice walk and info Alan mate, i walked up there a few years ago , nice views for a short walk , looked a stunning day for it , all the best for 2024 to you an your family 👍
First time I have ever been up there but drove passed it numerous times but could never get a parking space. I was on the way to Holme Fell but when I saw an empty layby I drove straight in and parred - real pleased I did too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Awww Alan, your my cuppa tea and I love following you on your adventures. 😊 Definitely need a thick skin as a TH-camr. 🤨 Not sure why some people are unkind, why not just scroll on. Lovely walk, I didn’t get to the Lakes last year but maybe this year. 🥰
Thanks so much for your kind words and totally agree Rachel, why do people have to take the time to be negative, such a waste of energy. Not had a lot of it to be fair but anything I do get I just delete, smile and move on, life it too short for stuff like that to spoil my day. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Glad you enjoyed it and so pleased I got there just as the sun was rising over the Fells, what a brilliant sight it was. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hello Alan. That looked a fantastic walk. Enjoyed the tips about utube. The view at the top was amazing, great that there were seats all around the area. Nice that the walk is accessible for everyone. Lovely day although cold but the sunrise was stunning. Nice to hear about Alfred Wainwright. Beautiful little Robin. Loved the money tree. Thank you for sharing have a great weekend x Julie and Tony x
Glad you enjoyed it and it was such a nice walk, so easy and so accessible for everyone of any ability. Been meaning to do this walk for years, so real pleased I finally did it, especially as the sun was just rising too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Nice one Alan, a lovely easy walk for someone with my level of fitness. I’ll try and do this one in the spring, hopefully. You’re correct in your advice to TH-camrs to develop a thick skin. I remember the amount of abuse I used to get when I criticised dog walkers. Cheers Mike 👍
Haha, yes I remember that Mike and I remember thinking when you had a go at dogs and dogwalkers, he is in for it now lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Oh nice one, we just got back from a overnight in Grasmere a couple of hours ago, the hotel was great but the weather was awful, so I hope you get better weather than us when you come back. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
This looks like a lovely walk especially with that amazing early morning light, wish I had the energy to get up that early. Great video as always, have a super sunday, cheers from barnyz
Thanks for watching and it is a struggle to get up early on these cold winter mornings but the reward is always greater that the effort to leave a warm bed. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Fab thanks for sharing. I’ve always wondered about that and whether it was worth it. Definitely in my to-do list now. What a beautiful picnic spot at the top. Thanks
A walk I have been meaning to do for years Stephen and so pleased I saw the empty layby when I was on the way to another Fell and took the chance to climb up there, the views were amazing and so so little effort as well. Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
*_Wow, _**_6:18_**_ fantastic, what a view, what a light, terrific shots. Great hike, thanks for the great pictures! Best regards from Germany, Angela_*
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching. Such a nice , easy walk to the top but what a great reward when you get there, especially with the sun rising as well. Cheers Alan
I think the only Fell that I would confidently say anyone could do if they wanted to get to the top. So easy but such a great reward when you get to the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Amazing looking scenery and its so nice that you have the peace and nature to yourself Alan :) cool answer to the question, definitely thick skin, like in life not everyone will like you, some people will just hate on you others just your not their cup of tea. Im feeling very lazy here right now x
I think if you start a channel and go in with that attitude you should be fine but not for the easily offended. A really small walk but one that gave a great reward at the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Great video Alan. Not a Wainwright but it is a Wainwright Outlying fell. One of the only Lakes walks that I managed to persuade my wife to do with me!!😂
Haha me too, Mrs Metalman said she would do it with me today, as we would be driving passed on the way home after an overnight at Grasmere. Well, that was until she saw the rain that was, it has bucketing it down! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Alan loved the hike. I am continually impressed by the shots you take and the way that the colour pops. It draws me in! Good tip about having thick skin. I haven't had too many negative comments on the video, but I always look at any comment as a good comment. The negative ones help your analytics, and obviously, if someone says something negative, it means you still struck a chord one way or the other. Have a good week buddy!
Good advice and totally true as well, I never take anything personally, like is far to short to worry about any of that stuff. Real nice of you to stop by, always appreciate it, cheers Alan
Same to you Dom and such an easy little walk but a walk with a big reward at the end - I like walks like this lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I was so pleased I caught the sun rising over the Fells Max, not sure if it was good timing or just dumb luck but I sure was grateful for it. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
It may not be a Wainwright but for so little effort you sure are well rewarded, I could have sat there all day and looked at that view. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Looks great...Great advice for youtubers... you will always get knockers...i like big one's....I have done all the Wainwrights but never Orrest head...i shall make a point of going next time i am in the LD
It had been on my list to do for years and did not intend to do it on this day but saw an empty layby and thought why not. Real pleased I did as the view was amazing. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Fantastic sunrise you got there Alan! Loved that sky and all those benches looks like a spot I need to visit for sure! 😊 very jealous of that morning sky you got haha. Can’t believe that person said that to you though, even if you didn’t enjoy a video that’s a rather rude comment to make. No need for it really. Well done for having thick skin and laughing off the comment 😊
Another great video Alan👍 Amazing sunrise! Always enjoy watching. It's good to see you still keeping your channel going🙂 A few others I watch have stopped putting vids up which is a shame (mine included lol) Anyone know what happened to Tea in Valhalla? They did good vids too. All the best
I hate it when channels I watch and enjoy stop putting out videos with Tea in Valhalla being a prime example. I know they said it was due to workload and (I think) they are intending to start uploading again but it has been a long time now :o(. We have been away for two days and I have been on 2 hours answering comments people have left me, so it is not easy and I am retired, so it must be real hard for people who are working. Thanks very much for watching and take care, cheers Alan
What a fantastic walk Alan. Excellent video. Really enjoyed that. Its fantastic that access has been created to help less able visitors to witness them amazing views. You absolutely nailed it with the timing. Sunrise was gorgeous. I have a question for one of your videos if it hasn't already been asked. Who and where was your greatest rock/metal performance that you have seen? Thank you. John.
I was so pleased the sun was just rising as I got to the top and also so pleased I got there too, as I had not intention of doing it, I was on the way to Coniston to climb Holme Fell. Just as I got into Windermere I saw the layby was empty so pulled in and off I went, just a good spur of the moment decision. Thanks very much for watching (question added).
Hiya Al, talk about views, that is one of the best, putting that sunrise over the top of it and it’s gunna be hard to beat, Them last minute change of plans always turn out to be a belter, Another great vid and showcased perfectly as always Sorry I’ve missed a few vids but super busy with work this time of year #💩mate Catch you on the next one mate
Don't worry about that marra, family and work always come first. Real nice to catch the sun rising over the Fells just as I got to the summit, cracking morning. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Ooohhh a quaint little start to your hike. It looks chilly! Whats your temperature today? Im alway curious to see the comparisons with where I am. Youre inspiring me to walk Alan💜🤩yayay! Ive also atarted yoga again. But as for my youtube experience, even though im so consistent, the platform is squashing my videos, I cant get the watch time. I never worry about what people say, I use the tools they provide. Good advice. 💜The views would make beautiful photos. Amazing scenery. This is neat that you can see 'over the hills and far away" (Rock and Roll reference feom my favorite band of course, LZ) sweet lil visit feom the birdie💜 l would wnjoy this walk
Such a perfect little walk for absolutely anyone of any age or ability and I was so blessed that the sun rose just as I got to the top, what a perfect way to start the day. Mt brother has been doing Yoga for years but the classes here tend to be all female for I would feel awkward attending, so an online video sounds just the job, I hope TH-cam starts promoting your yoga videos. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hi Alan, Very pleasant and enjoyable walk. Wheelchair accessible, wow nice tip hahah, you are good at hiking and talking simultaneously I can kind of understand the reason why you are drawn to this hike 6:10 gorgeous sunrise right behind you Yes, please come back with Mrs. Metalman. She will be delightful to join YOU on this walk. I am having mornings with below freezing point. Formy curiosity, have you ever used a disposal heat patch hand warmer on your hike??? Well done! Love it.
I always have those disposable hand warmers in my pack in the winter months and find them very useful, despite it being a chilly day on this hike, not needed as it was not that cold. I was real fortunate to get to the summit just as the sun was raising, which made it very special. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Such a beautiful view Alan and yes nice information boards along the way. The sunlight looked amazing 🤩. I know you were talking about TH-cam but because I struggle with accents, I didn't understand it all and I apologize. Could you explain it to me again? 😅
Glad you enjoyed it Nicole and I was just studying how you had to accept that not everyone will like you on TH-cam and that is something you have to realise when you start your own channel and put yourself out there for all to judge. I always just keep smiling and ignore any negativity, life is to short to let any negative comments get you down. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Could you recommend a multiple wainwrights hike for a bunch of lads with mixed ability, some experienced, some newcomers and some in between? Thank you!
One that I absolutely loved was the Greenburn Round starting opposite The Travellers' Rest at Grasmere. It takes in 4 Wainwrights: Steel Fell (the biggest), Calf Crag, Gibson Knott and Helm Crag. I did it with a friend 2 years ago and did a video called ‘The Greenburn Round & Climbing the Howitzer’. Free parking in the layby (if you get there early enough) and a pub to finish the day off with too. Good paths all the way around, easy to navigate, although it may be a bit boggy in parts on a wet day or after a lot of rain. Thanks very much for watching and good luck to you all, cheers Alan
2:30 HERE we GO !!!!! ..... 4:00 Gotta have a thick skin for this weather ..... or a thick coat ..... 6:30 This look's like something from the Wizard of Oz ....... 8:30 I can tell how much warmer you are ........ 10:40 We'll flip a coin.
A small Fell I have been meaning to do for years and real pleased I finally did it, especially as the sun was just rising too. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
You sure got that right, I used to do a bit of wild swimming but not in Windermere anymore, you are taking your life in your hands now unfortunately. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I assume this is a question for a future video Marc but one thing I will answer straight away is, if you are in it for the money, unless you are on about 50K subscribers you are in for a big disappointment lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Hello Alena. I can't help but wonder how amazing the sky looks, how the blue turns into orange. Like an expensive masterpiece. Unfortunately we cannot avoid trolling on YT. Big thumbs up from us as ever Alan 😊👍. Don't think we have ever seen Orrest head look more lovely, or seen it so quiet! Perhaps we need to hit it earlier next time 👌. All the best
Shell and Pete 😊👊👍
First time up there for me, despite me wanting to do it for years, so happy to finally get up there and even more happy to see the sun rising over the Fell tops as well. Real good of you to watch, cheers Alan
Most accessible? That would be for me LOL...very nice hike with rewarding views... Very nice way to spend a day Alan...take care! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Thanks for watching and a very short but also very enjoyable walk to the top, made even better by being met by the sun just as I got there too. Cheers Alan
👍👍👍👍👍👍@@AlanMETALMAN
My childhood manor! it's changed a lot since I was a lad 😲🤔 We used to go up there on our bikes... more fun riding down than pushing up!
It's a cracking view, thanks for sharing cheers Alistair 👍
Thanks Alistair and good to hear from you again, hope all is well. First time at the top for me, yet a small Fell I have wanted to climb for years but could never get a parking space lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Stunningly wonderful views of the sunrise. The colors of the sorroundings are absolutely mesmerizing. A lovely days
Many thanks and I was so lucky to get to the top just as the sun was rising, such an amazing sight to see. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
Alan it's so gorgeous here and great to follow in the footsteps of Alfred Wainwright. You got off early and it did look cold. You gave good advice about TH-cam and you were honest, that person was not nice what he said but like you said, some will like our channels and some won't and to have a think skin ! I love your videos and lots of others do too 😃
You had amazing views and I don't know how you do it but your footage is always so good.
Cheers Alan
Wonderful sharing. I enjoyed watching. Great video 🦇 👍
Thanks so much for stopping by, real good of you, cheers Alan
Cheers! Have a great week! ☀☀@@AlanMETALMAN
Another stunning view from the summit Alan! Thanks for taking us along Brother! 🤘🏼
Appreciate you stopping by Doug and a small Fell, a very small fell but one that packs a real big reward at the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Lovely Alan..lovely plave and stunning sunrise. Glad you got a space in the layby to show us around 😊
Funny thing I had no intention of doing this at all, I was on the way to Holme Fell but saw the empty layby, swerved across the road (nearly caused an accident) and thought why not. Real pleased I did and the view and the rising sun were both amazing. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
That's an absolutely a good mood setter. Nice family friendly walk indeed. Thanks Alan.
Glad you enjoyed it and it sure is a fell that absolutely anyone could climb and enjoy those amazing views. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
Easy and very beautiful sunrise you had!
Yes it was, such an easy walk but a real nice reward when you get to the top. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Wow what a stunning walk that is. I love also that its accessible to anyone. Really impressive photography 📸.
Absolutely gorgeous Sunrise from up there Alan - superb
We loved our stay up there - must get back soon.
My thoughts exactly, laugh it off and ignore, life is far too short to worry about anything like that. A real nice little walk if you are passing on the Kendal to Windermere road, a gentle 20 minutes to the top with an amazing view to greet you. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
The view at the top was stunning Alan, great that there were seats all around the area. You nailed it again, area is simply outstanding.
Beautiful place and weather to walk around enjoy and thanks for the tour
Glad you enjoyed it and real nice of you to stop by, appreciate it, cheers Alan
Alan, that looks like a great walk no matter your ability. Great stuff. 👍 Wonderful early morning light too.
You have the most beautiful places to hike over there. The views are absolutely stunning! Thank you for taking us along. God Bless 🕊️
Thanks so much for stopping by and your kind words, which I appreciate. Such a nice gentle walk to to top yet such a great reward when you get there, cheers Alan
Good Video! 😊, what a beautiful job you do 😊❤, how beautiful it looks on you 👍🏻💕#120
Thank you so much 🤗. Real good of you to watch and take the time to leave a comment, cheers Alan
Very beautiful nature
Thanks for visiting, real nice of you to watch and comment, cheers Alan
Beautiful hike, Alan. The colors on your videos are always fabulous.
Thank you and yes, there is always going to be some negatively when
you push yourself out there but I always just smile, move on and totally forget all about it, life is far too short to worry about anything like that.
Great watch as always Alan 👌. Defo a walk I might tackle with the 2 year old 👍
You would have no trouble at all Peter, a real nice easy and very family friendly path up the 'miles without stiles' route and so much to see on the way up, as well as on the top.
Beautiful views and stunning light Alan! Nice one mate👍👍
Awesome upload! Bravo!
Have a nice time. Greetings ~ Milan
Real good of you to stop by and drop a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
Good vid Alan the views up there was amazing and you had the day for them even no it was still nice and mild good stuff 👍
Great Video 👍, we’re hoping to stay in Windermere again very soon, so will definitely be doing this walk, we know it well 😊
Oh nice one, we just got back from a overnight in Grasmere a couple of hours ago, the hotel was great but the weather was awful, so I hope you get better weather than us when you come back.
Thanks very much for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, very much appreciated, cheers Alan
thanks for the great video my friend
Thanks for the visit John, real nice of you my friend, cheers Alan
*_Wow, _**_6:18_**_ fantastic, what a view, what a light, terrific shots. Great hike, thanks for the great pictures! Best regards from Germany, Angela_*
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you so much for watching. Such a nice , easy walk to the top but what a great reward when you get there, especially with the sun rising as well. Cheers Alan
Another great video Alan ,I haven’t got a TH-cam.but that sounds good advice . Mrs E would enjoy that walks. Looking forward to your next one Marra 👍
Another beautiful walk brother! And a very happy new year to you and Mrs. Metalman! Thanks for sharing!
Same to you Dom and such an easy little walk but a walk with a big reward at the end - I like walks like this lol. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
I have never run into anyone on the trail that had seen my videos, perhaps that is a good thing. 🤔 A beautiful sunrise at a lovely place..
I was so pleased I caught the sun rising over the Fells Max, not sure if it was good timing or just dumb luck but I sure was grateful for it. Appreciate you stopping by, cheers Alan
Great video Alan, I’m hoping to get to the The Lakes next week to tick off some more Wainwrights. I may have to put this on my list
Never been up there ...one of these days i will ..
Really worth it, nice and easy but what a great view from the top.
I always just smile and move on, always the best option and I hope we get weather like this on Saturday. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
@@AlanMETALMAN would be great if it is sunny like that!! 😁
Hiya Al, talk about views, that is one of the best, putting that sunrise over the top of it and it’s gunna be hard to beat,
Them last minute change of plans always turn out to be a belter,
Another great vid and showcased perfectly as always
Sorry I’ve missed a few vids but super busy with work this time of year #💩mate
Catch you on the next one mate
This is neat that you can see 'over the hills and far away" (Rock and
Roll reference feom my favorite band of course, LZ) sweet lil visit feom the birdie💜 l would wnjoy this walk
Hi Alan,
Very pleasant and enjoyable walk.
Wheelchair accessible, wow nice tip
hahah, you are good at hiking and talking simultaneously
I can kind of understand the reason why you are drawn to this hike 6:10 gorgeous sunrise right behind you
Yes, please come back with Mrs.
@@AlanMETALMAN absolutely true thank you for telling me and I needed to hear that. It's not always easy. Love your channel already friendship ❤️
@@AlanMETALMAN I’ve checked it out, looks a great walk! I’ll put it forwards to the group, thank you!
Lovely view...... from a distance. Get down in the lake these days and it's full of sh.......poo and blue green Algie.
You sure got that right, I used to do a bit of wild swimming but not in Windermere anymore, you are taking your life in your hands now unfortunately. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
Cheers, Alan, nice walk. What made you want to do TH-cam videos ? Was it for extra income or just something to look back on ?
Cheers Alan.
I assume this is a question for a future video Marc but one thing I will answer straight away is, if you are in it for the money, unless you are on about 50K subscribers you are in for a big disappointment lol! Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
