Having now finished it…. I’m speechless. This was a blinder of a preach, and hearing the story of Clayton at the end… truely broke something in me. Thank you for sharing this story.
I like her sermons. This one hit me from 5:18 to 5:40. I never quite understood why God came to earth. When she said that part, it clicked: I'm a teacher. My students don't know how to do something difficult until I show them. Jesus showed us.
I love love love Megan!!! I saw ur sermon key to contentment and have tried to get everyone I know to watch it! Makes me bawl! Great sermon today!! Thank u!
Beautiful sermon and reminder. This is off topic, but something struck me during the sermon.. she said the gospels were eye witness accounts. I’ve grown up understanding that this is not accurate. Can someone share some wisdom and solid resources to back it up. Ps. I’m not trying to create a “gotcha” moment or start a debate - There is an enormous amount of historical evidence for the life of Jesus. I’m just genuinely interested why she would say that and whether or not I’m misinformed.
When Jesus said "do everything I've commanded you to do" he's going back a long ways. "613" OT laws. The sermon on the mount. Proverbs. Isaiah. It also applies to business owners. "Capitalism" is not a silo you can put your immorality into out of sight of God. Pay your workers more than is expected. Charge your tenants less than is expected. John the Baptist referred back the OT law when instructing a soldier how to do his job in a Godly way. An important message though that God works through us. Rather than asking where God is in our suffering, ask where we are when others are suffering. Are we telling them they deserve less income. Are we telling them "the market" demands higher rent.
It was referring to the culture of that time, specifically the Roman culture where women were not permitted to fill in as much roles as they do nowadays. Megan was in no way exercising authority over anyone. She was simply preaching God's words. Some people have gifts of healing, others prophecies. Megan has a gift of teaching and reaching out to other people. Just like with the early church, she was applying her gifts to spread the gospel.

@@333apples That's still taking the verse out of context. Paul and the other church leaders were saying that women should stay silent during the sermons so that their husbands don't miss out on the messages. They can then speak and discuss with everyone after the sermons are over. The Bible never said that women should remain silent. They too are to go out and preach the gospel with everyone around them. Otherwise how else would they be able to carry out God's works?

@@333apples If that was the case, then there would be no point to involve women in the church. The Bible doesn’t forbid women from praying and prophesying in the assembly. On the contrary, it states for them to do it in a way that honors male headship (1 Cor. 11:2-16). Among other things, that means that women may prophesy but that they may not judge prophesies (1 Cor. 14:34-36). This teaching reflects Paul’s very practical concern for women who minister in churches and how they might do so in a way that honors headship. That very same concern should mark every congregation-even ours.
It’s not. The rabbi Yeshua actually said to go into the world not meet in a church. Church is imploding, finally. This sermon sounds manipulative and exhausting. Just BE. Live a good life. Life is my religion.
@@lifetaketwo7662 Because we women are not even supposed to be preachers, the woman talking is already in rebellion and all those who give approval to her preaching are too. The sermon is manipulative and exhausting because the woman was cursed to desire to take authority over men. Our world is evidence of it.
Why is the church important, because it is..... That is some speaking to you from authority. The old gods are the only true gods. I walk with them and would never bow to them
With all love and peace, I must ask why is this woman giving a sermon? Does the Bible not say that women must keep silent in the church? 1 CORINTHIANS 14:34; “Let your women keep silent in the churches, for they are not permitted to speak; but they are to be submissive, as the law also says.” (NKJV)
Never in my life have I actually replied to a TH-cam comment, but I have an answer for this one! 😂 Context is key in all scripture. Paul wrote this to the Corinthian church; in that day, it was always customary that the men sat on one side of the church, and the women sat on the other side. In expressing this to them, Paul was telling the women not to speak to their husbands during church, for it would interrupt the service; if they wanted to talk, they could do so at the conclusion of the service. The Word also says for wives to submit to their husbands, but NOT for all women to submit to all men; they were only in covenant with their husbands, not men generally. In summary, women are totally called of God just like men are, and they are just as vital to fulfilling the plans of God on the earth today :)
I saw a clip of this on Instagram, and I was hooked, it was so powerful I just had to hear the whole preach!!

As we go….. light exposing hopelessness in showing the love and restoration only Jesus as our Lord and Savior can and will reveal! Amen!
Great sermon!! I do need the local church.
Praise God! ,I absolutely love this! I pray that we will be led by the Holy Spirit to boldly speak of the love we know that Jesus has for us! Amen!

It's already been explained that the church is not a building. Rather, it's a movement, which would be the people.
