sometimes I'm confused 😅 He says not to listen to other or to follow their opinions, but if i shouldn't do this, how could I listen to him than? Everything he says sounds so right and I accept it and follow it, but at the same time I'm listening to someone else than myselfe. I'm kind off confused 😅
you have to understand that there's a difference between listening to the opinions of people or even one's own understanding and following a Satguru. In the Vaishnava tradition (Sri Vaishnavism in the case of Paramahmsa Vishwananda's movement Bhakti Marga) a Satguru is of utmost importance. The significance of accepting a Guru is also discussed in many Hindu scriptures such as Bhagavad Gita and Shreemad Bhagavatam.
Even the Buddha said not to blindly follow what he taught. It’s ok to listen, but make your own mind up about what’s right and wrong. In my experience those who have studied the scriptures- know! It’s worth listening to and following their advice. It will bring us to be happy and ultimately freedom.
