Ganda ng movie. Medyo confusing ang twist pero ganun naman talaga kapag involved ang time. I never expected this movie to be like this. Must watch 9/10!
Ending was bullshit, it broke the build up of the story. For our peace of mind because the ending was horrible!!!TO FIX IT HERE IS MY IDEA: Throughout the storyline sometime after the breakup she should only knew the guy from the past through his alias and not by his real name and never saw his face in twitter so his real indentity was a mystery to her while she was in baguio adjusting after her break up and started writing and finishing the story. And then the accident should have happened later in the move where she revealed to him that he should meet her old self in baguio (april 20, 2018) but must not tell her anything about the walkie talkie SO THE PRESENT her didn't know it was him and didn't know that they were together all along in the present. And in the past, his communication with his future girlfriend was suddenly cut off until the present. But for him it doesn't matter as they became together since 2018 up until the break up.. And then back to the present in hospital, as Uly read the story (the story that she started and finished in baguio after the break up) he then realized that it was that time in baguio where she was talking to him in the past with the walkie talkie and that she mentioned that she broke up with his boyfriend (realizing it was him). SO SUDDENLY it come to his attention that the reason for sudden lost of communication in the walkie talkie was because she had an accident. SO HE RUSHED to find the walkie talkie and warn his old self that he should never leave her at that exact date in future to avoid her going to baguio and does it rewrite the future by avoiding the accident ever happened. And then the ending scene should be him and her looking at each other in baguio april 20 2018 as the camera angle shifted to the opposite side it shows they got married.

there was never a time difference. either first time nila magkakilala sa wright park nung nagka tinginan sila...or totoong naging phone pals muna sila through the radio pero walang involved na time difference then nagmeet sila sa wright park. I'm guessing na yung naging phone pals muna sila ang nangyari since yung sinulat na kwento ni ikay is heavily inspired by her personal story.
Yung di ko lang maintindihan ay yung scene na nagkaayos sila agad after nilang mag away when it wasnt what really happened kasi sabi nga ng tita ni ikay na bakit hindi binalikan ni uly si ikay. Hindi rin pwedeng yun ang start ng kwento ni ikay since yung pagpunta nya sa baguio sa story is because naghiwalay sila. Hindi naman pwedeng nagkaayos sila pero nakipag phone pal sa iba. Yun lang naman ang hindi ko maintindihan
I think totoong nangyari ung time difference kasi nasabi ni Uly ung pinuntahan cya sa Atok, parang ni re-write ni Ikay ung ending nila na nagtrigger para umulit ulit ung kwento, puedeng namatay sya sa 2022 nung nacoma cya then biglang nag jump back sila sa 2018(ung ending) parang nag merge ung timelines nila so ibig sabihin sa huli, nabura ung pagmimeet nila sa walkie talkie and ung chapter na un kung saan may gap ung timeline and ung ending na scene is naging beginning na ng story nila. 🎉🎉🎉 tagal ko nalito lol bago ko maintindihan ung kwento. loveeeee it, ganda!!!!

this series have similarities to the two movies "moments of love (2006) and il mare (2000)" it's primary focus plot was to take them back in the past wherein the couple had known each other truly. the walkie talkie served as time and date duration.all the scripts that ikay wrote had to be her wish to her relationship with uly in reality.... it's not confusing if read more about ikay's written pov considering they are really existed. super ganda
the four years apart was the exact time they first met (2018) and ikay's year (2022) was the accident and broken up happened.

So this is what I understood:
CHRONOLOGICALLY
Ikay and Uly actually met in 2018. Then they got together and in 2022 he proposed to her but she prioritized her carreer and he left during the fight so they never had a proper closure.
She was already writing that story about a girl finding a walkie talkie and getting to know an ill guy living in the past but still had to finish it.
When her coworker suggested Ikay to go unwind, the night before leaving for Baguio she stayed up all night and ended the script adding a piece of her life into it. I think the script was meant to finish with the PAST GUY finding the girl in HIS present and they lived happily ever after, but as Ikay said in the beginning of the movie, she needed the story to finish her own way so to let Uly know what she would have wanted to say after he left.
THEN the next day she got in the car crash and Uly came to visit her and read her version of THEIR ending in the script. She never managed to go to Baguio that day.
IN THE MOVIE
When she got the accident, the story in her script started: she has found a walkie talkie (out of the blue!) in her car and when the script almost finished (2018 gazebo meeting scene) it goes back to reality and we get to see the ending while Uly reads it to Ikay at the hospital.

In real life uly at ikay ang name nila. Tpos sa script na binabasa sa hospital Mika at uly right? Nung ngtatawagan sila sa phone/ walkie talkie ang name ni girl ay ikay. It means yung tawagan nila nangyari yon in real life pati yung time difference. Ang gulo ng movie na to. Naiintindihan kona sana kaso db dapat ang name nung walkie talkie girl ay Mika at hindi ikay. Pero sa movie ikay ang name nya.

We have different interpretations but I think yours makes more sense..
The way I understood it is that the timeline gap was real and when they finally meet in 2018, the two timelines somehow merged, and instead of some other guy breaking Ikay's heart, it became Uly, implying she would've chosen career anyway because this version of Ikay hasn't experienced the phone calls that she shared with Uly and would've never gotten the development and growth she needed to stay in a relationship. But then again, my understanding of the story doesn't explain the car crash so...

And then the accident should have happened later in the move where she revealed to him that he should meet her old self in baguio (april 20, 2018) but must not tell her anything about the walkie talkie SO THE PRESENT her didn't know it was him and didn't know that they were together all along in the present. And in the past, his communication with his future girlfriend was suddenly cut off until the present. But for him it doesn't matter as they became together since 2018 up until the break up.. And then back to the present in hospital, as Uly read the story (the story that she started and finished in baguio after the break up) he then realized that it was that time in baguio where she was talking to him in the past with the walkie talkie and that she mentioned that she broke up with his boyfriend (realizing it was him). for me lang ha 2 beses na nangyari ang banggaan. First is yung ikay na present na papuntang baguio. Wala syang tulog nung papunta sya ng baguio kasi tinapos nya yung script kaya nangyari ang aksidente. Reason ng Aksidente is hindi pwdeng matuloy si ikay kasi di nya pwd makilala ang uly(2018) ng past. Second is nung pauwi na ang future ikay galing bagiuo kasi hindi nya pwd makita ang future Uly(2022). This is all to give way for the past Uly(2018) para makilala nya si ikay(2018) and magkatuluyan sila sa present but they broke up because of the proposal. Then ang present ikay 2022 is sinulat yung kwento nila base sa kwento ni Uly sa kanya para mapakita ni Ikay kay Uly kung ga ano ka genuine ang relationship nila and ipakita ni ikay na kung ano ang gusto nya mangyari nung gabi na nag break sila. Hahaha sana na intindihan mo lol.

PANGALAWA, after na realize ni Ikay na si Uly at the Past and Uly the present boyfriend na nang iwan sa kanya ay iisa kaya bumalik siya sa QC upang tapusin ang kanyang sinusulat na kwento yun yung una na pinalabas na may The End, PANGATLO bumalik siya sa BAGIOU upang hanapin si Uly, after that dun nanngyari ang aksidente..

So puedeng nagsacrifice cya at namatay cya nung 2022 after nya ma coma at matapos ni Uly mabasa ang kwento, nung namatay cya - nag jump back sila sa 2018(ung ending ng movie na magkaharap sila) pero dahil napagmerge nya ung timeline burado na ung nangyari na nagkakilala sila sa walkie talkie, erase na un.. so ung ending ng movie is ung beginning na nung story nila. Deym!!! ang gandaaaaaaa, nakakalito sa umpisa pero may clues, pag inulit mo saka mo marerealize.... love it!!!!!

The 1st part (Reality):
Before siya pumunta ng baguio natapos niya yung story kaya may tinype siyang "The End". After that the scene she was driving to Baguio enters. Take note nagchat/text si tita mench sa kanya na maraming strawberries sa kanila which means inaasahan siya ni tita mench. Then nabangga siya napansin niyo yung 2 way radio nagstart mag stutter after ng banggaan, ang totoo pala is malaking aksidente ang nangyare then she went into coma. Then the real life continues dun sa scene na sugatan siya sa loob ng sasakyan. Pumunta si Uly at nandun din si tita Mench, pero walang binanggit si tita Mench about sa nangyare sa Baguio kasi di nga siya nakapuntang Baguio in real life.
The 2nd part (Story written by Ikai):
Yung story is inspired siya sa real life story nila ni Uly. Yung story is the made up version of Ikay kung paano sila nagkita ni Uly sa garden sa tapat ng "The Mansion" sa Baguio. She live the story she wrotes while in coma.
There's no loophole. That's it. No need ng 2nd movie. Yan ang flow ng story like the movie of Gerald Anderson at Pia Wurtzbach in "My Perfect You" ang difference lang ay lahat ng character sa My Perfect You is gawa gawa lang ni Gerald. Sana makatulong ang review nato para maintindihan niyo yung malabong part ng movie Hehe. Enjoy.

Well the story isn't for you then, Ilang beses sinabi sa Movie na Yung past Can't be changed, The story started as the true ending of the movie wherein ikay got in the car accident with the man from white car. Then the story suddenly shifted to the perspective of Ikay's Proposed story called Love you, Long time. The meeting in 2018 is the real start of their first meetup in real life. You can actually think of Ikay's story as her Biggest regret in life, kaya ayaw nya palitan Yung part na Yun Kasi Want nya maging happy Yung ending nung story nya(Which is the scene kung saan tumingin pabalik si guy at nagkaayos Sila).
There is no such thing as different timeline it's merely a scenario in the script, You forgot that almost all scene in the movie and even the movie itself is about the manuscript of Love You long time and not the actual Real life scenario. The moral of the story is about not abandoning old things/relationship but having the courage to fix them. They are both scared to do so thus ikay writing the story of love you long time, which emphasizes that topic a lot of the time.

hindi totoo yung script na gawa ni ikay i mean hindi talaga yun nangyare kumbaga sa sinulat nya yun yung gusto nya sanang mangyari sa kanila ni uly kung babalikan nyo yung movie may part dun na sinabi ni ikay na kung makikilala ni uly si ikay 4years ago ee hindi sya focus lang sa career nya kumbaga hindi sya magaalangan nung time nayun magpakasal kay uly kaya yun yung gusto nyang ending sa script na ginagawa nya yung mag kita sila ni uly 4 yrs ago yung mga time na hindi nya pa kaylngan mamili kasi di pa sya focus that time sa career nya. sa madaling salita yung buong movie nila ee base lang yun sa ginawang script ni ikay pero hindi yun yung nangyare sa tunay na buhay nila ni uly kumbaga yun lang yung gusto nya sanang mangyare .. ☺️ hope this help
