At 60 ive learnt what Flow means when you review guys always say how good Ren is. Im not normally a rap fan, but i know quality when I hear it, and Ren has IT !!! Proud he lives along the coast from where i live. He's done it on his own with people turning on to his music. Love watching reviewers, like yourself, losing it over his wordplay.

Also, Ren usually pins the lyrics in the comments, which sometimes helps people who don’t speak “Bri’ish”. And yes, his catalog is extremely eclectic and they are all bangers.
What’s next? If you want to stick with rap I recommend Illest of our Time. This year’s releases are part of his radio/hip hop project. While most of his catalog has rap interspersed within, it’s not “traditional” rap or hip hop like we get from US artists. Every song, though, is 🔥 singing, but also has the benefit of real and relatable lyrics. Give a listen to Ocean or Humble and you’ll see skills and real talk.

Great reaction. Ren is a genre bending genius. I think I've found 2 songs I didn't care for from his 'contract' days where someone else was doing more of the producing and providing background vocals instead of using his own. Otherwise, it's all gold and buried gems including when you get into his collabs with other artists and with both bands he's been in.
Ren has his weaknesses, but his greatest strength is that he shares his weaknesses with us through his music. He really is something special. Great reaction too. This video was 🔥.

I discovered Ren back around January with Hi Ren and dove straight into his catalog, the Big Push catalog and Romain and Gorran's catalog as well. No 🧢, there is no filler. Everything is a 💎 in its own right. Hell I even created a complete Ren/Big Push playlist on Spotify and keep it on shuffle every day. There's only one other catalog I'd put up against Ren and his band mates and that's Nahko and Medicine For The People. The music is different but no filler to be found, no skippable songs, just banger after banger. Keep the Ren reactions coming!!

You should watch (on your own time) the interview that Knox Hill did with him the other day. It was an excellent conversation. Ren is such an open book and enjoys people getting to know him. Ren is very sick and misdiagnosed for 10 years (?). Finally found out he has Lyme disease. He is currently in Canada getting treatment. His illness and depression/anxiety play a big part in his bars

Ren' stuff is brilliant...talented artist for sure. I think a lot of UK underground rap has gone overlooked by the US. If you like wordplay and fast flows and originality... others like Dabbla, Ocean Wisdon, Mistah Bohze, DJ Supreme and Curoc, Chrome, S.P.Y.E, Sir Beanz OBE, lots of recent stuff on High Focus, B-line recordings, Ruztik records etc.... there's tons of good UK stuff, also there's the old Britcore Hardcore rap stuff if you want to delve back to the 90's / 2000's.
