Beautiful. Have been many times in Oslo, 2021-2023 when was living and working in EU.Got back to Canada in sept.2023. I miss a lot Scandinavia. Now realise I have to try or even I should to move over there. Thanks for this video, simple and beautiful. Great quality + sunny day. Cheers from Toronto.
Thank you for your kind feedback! Oslo is indeed a beautiful city, and it's understandable that you miss Scandinavia. If you have the opportunity, considering moving there could be a great experience. The quality of life, stunning landscapes, and unique culture are aspects that make Scandinavia so appealing. If you decide to make the move, I hope you have an amazing time exploring and immersing yourself in the Scandinavian way of life. Cheers from Norway!
Very interesting thank you. I stayed and walked in Frogner for a week last summer and wore shorts all the time! What are the "rasfare" flags for please?
Rasfare is a company that remove ice and snow on roofs. So they like to have these kind of "heads up" signs on the buildings they working on. They remove graffiti as well. Thanks for watching!@@andrewwest7934
Especially the route he walks, when I am in Oslo about every 20 years I usually walk that same route, way back in the late 70'ties I worked in Oslo and as often as I could I walked the same way, there is, or was perhaps, a couple of galleries there also, where I bought art, also, this is the "right side" of the river, (akerselven)
0:08 we, my parents and me lived just around the corner when I was a little boy, and me and my friends knew where all the drunkards was hiding, probably veteran sailors from the war I guess, we asked them for empty bottles and was standing in queue outside the "vinmonopol" and when it was our turn we got 10 øre, which was enough to buy one single bubble gum we divided up in small pieces and shared between us, I must have been around 5 or 6 years I guess, and the year ~1965, think the "vinmonopol" was in that large orange building there, remembered when I saw it
Oslo is kind of hated among Norwegians, when I get colleagues visiting out from the districts they are usually very busy telling me how awful Oslo is, I had a colleague that was soooo proud, (from the districts) he told everyone how proud he was of not knowing anything about Oslo even if he lived there, Knut Hamsun called it the "tiger" eating you, but both my parents was born and raised in Oslo and they love it, always talk about places there, it is very strange
It is very nice to walk on both sunny and snowy roads 😊
