I know its never said but I always thought the IT was actually a Reed Richards mutated instead of Ben Grimm...would make Doom's treatment of him make a whole lot more sense.

They're not boring, they just haven't been done justice on the big screen yet. They're supposed to be a family of superhero explorers yet their movies have them spend 90% of the runtime sitting around doing nothing.
Just please don't say you want Danny Devito to play him, he'd be good 30 years ago, but he's too old now. I would suggest either Jack Black or Josh Gad.

I think in a few of the previous FF4 movies Dr. Doom was depicted fairly well. Hope they enter the MCU soon.

What about ”Malice”? This dark entity possessed Sue, Richards. Malice was in a few issues back in the nineties.
One of the most infamous darker versions of Reed is his villainous counterpart from the Ultimate Universe.
