As a Niner fan I have nothing but praise for Bridgewater, he looks like he's going to be an excellent QB for a long time, he has great poise, touch on the ball (He doesn't 'rocket' it every throw like Kaepernick), accuracy and is a quick-read/runner to boot. He has that 'it' factor and what an arm as well! I'm no Viking fan but its hard not to get pumped up about this kid, I just love seeing natural talent and wish him the best in the next season. Respect =)

If we keep AP and do well in draft / FA, I can see the Vikes getting to the playoffs as a 5/6 seed with a 10-6 or better record. Our schedule is fairly manageable (AFC West + NFC West, + Giants, + Falcons) and Teddy is if we getting even better. We won't take the division because of GB, but make the playoffs, it will be a huge step forward.
The Vikings will lose to Denver, Seattle, Arizona, Green Bay twice, and to the Lions once. They may lose to either the Chiefs or the Chargers, but I'm predicting a 10-6 or 9-7 record for them.
If the rams can beat the broncos and Seahawks, I'm sure the Vikings can find a way to. Anything can happen, it's the NFL. Like how we somehow beat the 2012 49ers.
Aaron Derksen He gets credit on that play because he checked out of the called play to the screen because of the defenses alignment, and then executed the throw. It was a great play for everyone.

It was all about being comfortable in the pocket, not forcing his throws, and learning the speed of his receivers. There were times he seemed scared to throw the ball into tight spots but that's one thing he'll have to learn and improve on. Receivers in the NFL won't be as open as receivers were in college. The throwing window in the NFL isn't as big as the throwing window is in college. He'll have to trust that his receivers are open when it may seem like they are not.
Right... its like pro day isnt a natural thing. Having all ya pads and helmet on. Trying to read a defense and just reacting. Instead its scripted and forced his throws. Thus, highlights.

Marcus Burrell The Wonderlic Test doesn't mean much when it comes to a successful NFL QB. Work ethic proves more valuable than any wonderlic score. Marino had a score of 15. Peyton Manning had a score of 28 while Manziel had a score of 32. While Manziel was out partying in Cleveland, Vegas and Texas, Teddy stayed in Minnesota and immediately started hitting the books, learning the plays and defensive schemes used against his offense.
I'm happy he had a horrible pro day. Worked out for the Vikes. What also worked out for the Vikes was that the Browns took Manziel at 22 and wouldn't allow us to take him when we tried to trade up for him (if the rumors are true).
I'm so glad the Vikes traded up for him. He may not be flashy but he shows great poise in the pocket, makes good decisions and is very accurate. We have been searching for a long-term solution at QB and we found him. We may not be there yet, but we are putting the pieces together and will be a monster team in a few years.
I can't believe scouts let Bridgewater fall. Teddy was never going have the media frenzy of Manziel but Manziel is heading toward Tebow status where Bridgewater is heading towards Rodgers' situation where he was over looked until the Pack picked him up late. I thought Bridgewater was even going to get a year to learn the system. He lets players make plays by getting it out quick and either their open or have to make a heck of play which is the competition you want to see at WR/CB. If he plays 16 g, he throws for 4000+yds, 25 - 30TD, 15 or fewer picks. I could even see 10 or less. Just look at his college stats and tell me he doesn't learn.
Teddy's footwork is the same a great. Look at his forward lean after he gets to the end of his 3 and 5 step drops, the 7 step drops he's nearly horizontal. Then watch him rolling to his left throwing. He has to be a Joe Montana fan. It's the closest to Joe i've ever seen waist down.
This kid reminds me of a less explosive, more patient, young Michael Vick. He's got wheels, and when he throws the deep ball, he just flicks it, doesn't even step up or anything!

His rookie season was similar to Andrew Lucks. Besides what's that have to do with ESPN and everyone comparing every black QB coming into the NFL to Michael Vick. Especially when Aaron Murray had over 300 more rushing yards than Bridgewater their last year in college.

sean shelton it is when black QBs that don't even scramble are compared to Vick. & Even know ESPN made a huge deal when Winston ran a shower 40 than Peyton Manning. When a white QB runs a slower 40 no one even notices.
