Lucky Luke Rides is it not too loud? Each mod is stylish and subtle on its own and altogether is a great package. Often more than one or two mods can be tacky but you have nailed it. The front indicators and rear light cluster are very cool indeed. Like it a lot.
@@grantbrown8176 It's a bit loud to be fair, I must invest in a good pair of ear plugs but if you've ever heard an MT-07 stock exhaust you'd know how happy this makes me haha. Stock sounds like a bad hair dryer. I have a video on my channel when I first bought it and did a little walk around, you can hear it there. Thanks though man, I agree, sometimes people go a bit overboard and just because something is cheap and good doesn't mean it NEEDS to be on a bike, some can look very tacky as you said.
Lucky Luke Rides maybe get ear plugs for the neighbours too! I have only heard the stock exhaust on TH-cam and can understand how yours puts a smile on your face. Hope you are enjoying the bike.
@@grantbrown8176 Haha, I live on the ground floor of an apartment block but when I come home from work at night I usually shut the bike off and roll the last few meters to my door! No complaints yet anyway! I'm loving the bike, getting some great mileage out of it!
No joke: except for the mirrors, the exhaust and the tail piece, your set up is EXACTLY the same as mine. Really! To the point we have the same sliders, the same Puig wind shield, the same place and set up for the quad lock! It seams my bike....very good taste....he he he

Love how you made your indicators disappear. I added a slick drag bar to mine and it improves the manuverability during rides, it's slightly wider than stock.
It looks great, nice and uncluttered. I know the Guards here in Ireland won't bother you but I have heard in some other places that the police pull bikes for the rear indicators being to close together in a tail tidy. They need to be something like 9 inches apart to avoid confusing other road users.

Well Shane! The LED tail light was grand to fit, it's literally plug and play when it comes to the wiring and taking off the rear etc. isn't that bad. Just a few bolts & push pins! I did put in a relay though as it was flashing slightly faster than I would like it to but that's a breeze too! :)

I was skeptical too man, a lot of them are really flimsy looking and I really don't like the round ones, unless they suit the bike but the MT is very modern/angular looking so I think the ones I went with clean the bike up a bit!

Lucky Luke Rides does the new seat add a lot more comfort over stock? I was looking at Corbin but this is a cheaper alternative. Only if it makes a big difference.
To be honest, I've never had a passenger for 200+ miles in a day. I'd imagine the Tracer 700 would be more comfortable over longer distances but I've never ridden one.
Hi Luke. I like the look of your bike and sounds amazing. I'm in the process of either purchasing a MT07 or Ninja 650 but not sure which one. Did you put on the exhaust yourself or was it expensive for someone else to do for you.
Hey man! Thanks, I'm really happy with how it's turned out! :) The MT-07 and Ninja 650 are very different bikes but both are gorgeous! Tough choice there! I just went for the MT as I love the naked look and the low end torque is such a laugh! I put the exhaust on myself alright with the help of my cousin! It's not a hard job at all because you have access to everything really easily. I'm not sure how much you would be charged to get it fitted but I cant imagine it being that expensive. You could always ring around and get a quote from a garage to see! :)
@@GunningGhoul I've got a flash tune kit installed man so it was tuned to the exhaust and the DNA air filter! I haven't noticed anything with lean fuel etc.
The front indicators appearvto be slightly hidden. Would like to see them sticking out a little bit more...safety first. Other than that it looks great. I've got the same short levers on mine...like them a lot.
They are slightly hidden, I won't lie. During the day time they're not great but to be honest cars don't seem to look at bikes, never mind they're indicators haha. At night they're insanely bright so I'm happy with that :) Yeah the levers work a treat!
Love the way the motorcycle is turning out! I have similar crash protection on mine and I'm just waiting for some flush turn signals also and a tail tidy and a tail light from TST. I have to ask, how do you find the comfort seat? You said in previous videos you ride with your gf in the back, is she more happy now?
Thanks man! :) The tail tidy makes such a huge difference so I'd say you can't wait for that to arrive! The comfort seat is great, I find it much easier to go longer distances now without getting uncomfortable! The girlfriend finds it better too but then again, I think anything over 2 hours sitting as a pillion would get uncomfortable for anyone. The rider seat is perfect though, I can ride for hours now!

Nice mods mate :) The bike is looking sweet .... although those front indicators really need some smoked lenses to hide the whiteness, lol. How do you find that comfort seat compared to the stock seat?

@@LuckyLukeRides Nice one, thank you buddy .. thats a +1 vote for the custom seat then, I don't do long rides very often these days but extra comfort is always appreciated when I do. Ya could always grab a can of lens tint / smoke spray, mask around the indicators and give them a quick coat or two .. would only take half hour or so and cost about 10/12 euros for the spray. Shouldn't make them too dark in use but would make a huge difference to the looks when they aren't turned on (and if ya dont like it then a wipe over with some nail varnish remover will take the spray tint off again). Worth a try mate :)
@@MotoGoato Yeah, I suppose extra comfort on the short spins is nice too! :) Jesus that sounds like an idea alright, might pick up some of that stuff and give it a shot! I'm not sure will it makes them non-visible because they're fairly low profile as is but as you said, it's easy to go back to normal...You bastard anyway putting more ideas and ways to spend money into my head haha!
@@LuckyLukeRides Ha ha ha :) ... well it's designed for the exact purpose yer using it for so they should still shine bright through the tint but be a bit more subtle against the black body work when they are not lit up. Either that or pop the lens off the indicators and take a black sharpy to the white LED board (not the leds themselves though, just the board inbetween), then pop or glue the lens back on ... there ya go .. cheaper alternative for the budget conscious ;) :)

Sometimes it can, sometimes it can't. I've got all the mods done to the bike stated on my insurance and it didn't effect the price at all. If you put an exhaust on the bike and then tell the insurance company that you haven't, it could lead to a problem in a crash if they send an assessor and that assessor sees that your bike has an aftermarket exhaust.

Jesus that's a tough one eh... Radiator guard, fork protectors, axle sliders & frame sliders from R&G's website. Mirrors/bar ends from some American website. The exhaust from some German website. Levers from Amazon. Seat from eBay. Anything really in specific you're looking for I can go find the link! :)

Thanks Sharon! I'm delighted with how it turned out! Haha, buying a nice bike is hard, there's so many options! Grant listed a few below but everyone will have another bike suggestion. Best bet is to call into dealers and sit on a few and if you're lucky enough take a test ride (you'll probably need the full licence first though).
i switched my front turn signals on my 2022 MT07 to the TST "angel eyes" w/ the BLUE running lights......tried to install the on the back too but the plug in doesn't fit.....i ask TST if they had an adapter....they said NO.....they want you to buy their "tail tidy" but i don't like that.....i don't want water hitting my sissy bar or getting on my back & i DON'T think it's safe.....i don't want to be rear ended, b/c someone couldn't see that i was turning.....it's just not safe......thats why it's illegal in Australia... & i will NOT change the stock muffler.....i don't want to spend 1,ooo.xx b/c IMO, it's fine stock....
I'm in the process of getting the exhaust filter and a tune but you glossed over this with a bit of text. Did you turn off engine braking? How did you find it? Tell me more. The mods I've done so far are comfort seat, genuine Yamaha R6 throttle tube and the Yamaha heated grips. I live in Norway and it can be 25oC at sea level and 5oC in the mountains so in 40 mins I can experience different temperatures summer gloves don't work. The heated grips are a lifesaver. Yeah the pre 2018 night flou had a pure grey finish, kinda like Audi grey, I was never a fan.

How is the passenger comfort seat on longer rides ? +200 miles in a day ? Or would you rather go with the Tracer 700 in that case over the MT ? Cheers
To be honest, I've never had a passenger for 200+ miles in a day.
I'd imagine the Tracer 700 would be more comfortable over longer distances but I've never ridden one.
Any ride over an hour cruising at 80 mph kinda sucks. Would imagine the tracer to be so much better
Hi Luke. I like the look of your bike and sounds amazing. I'm in the process of either purchasing a MT07 or Ninja 650 but not sure which one. Did you put on the exhaust yourself or was it expensive for someone else to do for you.
Hey man! Thanks, I'm really happy with how it's turned out! :) The MT-07 and Ninja 650 are very different bikes but both are gorgeous! Tough choice there! I just went for the MT as I love the naked look and the low end torque is such a laugh!
I put the exhaust on myself alright with the help of my cousin! It's not a hard job at all because you have access to everything really easily. I'm not sure how much you would be charged to get it fitted but I cant imagine it being that expensive. You could always ring around and get a quote from a garage to see! :)
Lucky Luke Rides Did you put a power commander for the exhaust and if not has it affected how lean your fuel is?
@@GunningGhoul I've got a flash tune kit installed man so it was tuned to the exhaust and the DNA air filter! I haven't noticed anything with lean fuel etc.
The front indicators appearvto be slightly hidden. Would like to see them sticking out a little bit more...safety first. Other than that it looks great. I've got the same short levers on mine...like them a lot.
They are slightly hidden, I won't lie. During the day time they're not great but to be honest cars don't seem to look at bikes, never mind they're indicators haha. At night they're insanely bright so I'm happy with that :) Yeah the levers work a treat!
Love the way the motorcycle is turning out! I have similar crash protection on mine and I'm just waiting for some flush turn signals also and a tail tidy and a tail light from TST.
I have to ask, how do you find the comfort seat? You said in previous videos you ride with your gf in the back, is she more happy now?
Thanks man! :) The tail tidy makes such a huge difference so I'd say you can't wait for that to arrive! The comfort seat is great, I find it much easier to go longer distances now without getting uncomfortable! The girlfriend finds it better too but then again, I think anything over 2 hours sitting as a pillion would get uncomfortable for anyone. The rider seat is perfect though, I can ride for hours now!
you want a GOOD seat....buy the Corbin ,,,it's expensive, 616.oo but worth it.....sisssy bar is 318.oo

@@LuckyLukeRides Nice one, thank you buddy .. thats a +1 vote for the custom seat then, I don't do long rides very often these days but extra comfort is always appreciated when I do. Ya could always grab a can of lens tint / smoke spray, mask around the indicators and give them a quick coat or two .. would only take half hour or so and cost about 10/12 euros for the spray. Shouldn't make them too dark in use but would make a huge difference to the looks when they aren't turned on (and if ya dont like it then a wipe over with some nail varnish remover will take the spray tint off again). Worth a try mate :)

I'm not sure will it makes them non-visible because they're fairly low profile as is but as you said, it's easy to go back to normal...You bastard anyway putting more ideas and ways to spend money into my head haha!
@@LuckyLukeRides Ha ha ha :) ... well it's designed for the exact purpose yer using it for so they should still shine bright through the tint but be a bit more subtle against the black body work when they are not lit up. Either that or pop the lens off the indicators and take a black sharpy to the white LED board (not the leds themselves though, just the board inbetween), then pop or glue the lens back on ... there ya go .. cheaper alternative for the budget conscious ;) :)

Dose changing exhaust increase insurance costs
Sometimes it can, sometimes it can't.
I've got all the mods done to the bike stated on my insurance and it didn't effect the price at all.
If you put an exhaust on the bike and then tell the insurance company that you haven't, it could lead to a problem in a crash if they send an assessor and that assessor sees that your bike has an aftermarket exhaust.

Thanks Sharon! I'm delighted with how it turned out! Haha, buying a nice bike is hard, there's so many options! Grant listed a few below but everyone will have another bike suggestion. Best bet is to call into dealers and sit on a few and if you're lucky enough take a test ride (you'll probably need the full licence first though).

i switched my front turn signals on my 2022 MT07 to the TST "angel eyes" w/ the BLUE running lights......tried to install the on the back too but the plug in doesn't fit.....i ask TST if they had an adapter....they said NO.....they want you to buy their "tail tidy" but i don't like that.....i don't want water hitting my sissy bar or getting on my back & i DON'T think it's safe.....i don't want to be rear ended, b/c someone couldn't see that i was turning.....it's just not safe......thats why it's illegal in Australia...
& i will NOT change the stock muffler.....i don't want to spend 1,ooo.xx b/c IMO, it's fine stock....
I'm in the process of getting the exhaust filter and a tune but you glossed over this with a bit of text. Did you turn off engine braking? How did you find it? Tell me more. The mods I've done so far are comfort seat, genuine Yamaha R6 throttle tube and the Yamaha heated grips. I live in Norway and it can be 25oC at sea level and 5oC in the mountains so in 40 mins I can experience different temperatures summer gloves don't work. The heated grips are a lifesaver. Cheers man! Yeah I was thinking about that to be honest but not sure how legal it is to remove them... then again with the baffle out of the exhaust, the tail tidy, integrated tail light/turn signals & smaller indicators, reflectors should be the least of my worries haha!
