Hey man- another excellent vid. Thanks! Only one problem: I've owned my 1989 318 for one year now. Plow the driveway and grind leaves and pine needles. Use the Troy Bilt for mowing all summer. I only have 1/2 acre.. but I do the woman's next door too. My 318 is just to play on and make the other old farts on the block jealous! Right? OK- back to the problem here. Your vid made me want to sell my new 318 and hunt for a 140 H3! I'm starting to think that THAT is the greatest Deere that ever lived :) Be well

Jon. Recently I noticed a John Deere 140 on MarketPlace in this area and it wasn’t there very long before it disappeared,
Like used trucks, It’s amazing how much people are asking for the stuff that they are listing. I have seen mowing decks listed for over $1000 as well as some pretty hefty pricing for the Brinly-Hardy stuff. Crazy!!!

Damn I use to sell atvs and similar power equipment, I could ask whatever price I wanted in 2021 and next day boom it’s sold for asking price, same with 22, this year has been the hardest I’ll still get close to what I want but it will take a few weeks minimum! Literally two years ago the same shit would of sold same day

Dumb question for you, We’re did you find the gaskets for the rear end????

May need more than a gasket for a leaky rear end. Ask FJB about that.

I have two 140's that's been sitting in my barn forever, H-3 with a front plow attachment and an H-1 both have mower decks. I do not know what to do with them. I really don't want to scrap them and have no idea what they are worth.

Expecting a 50 plus year old garden tractor that’s probably at best had the engine oil changed regularly changed not to have spendy issues is pretty much dreaming in my opinion.
