I loved this game and the 2013 one, my 2 favorite games ever by far. But my minor complaint with Rise, is that it didn't have the same sense of tension as the first game. In the 2013 game, Lara was still learning how to be the badass we all know and love so your felt the danger, in this game she feels like more of a veteran that is completely unstoppable. Great game still, just lacks the tension the 1st game had.
i want more game like this! Both Rise and Shadow are the best games I played in Action genre :) the music is so emotional and beautiful! :) Current Design of Lara is still the best and looks mature!
Same, I'm hoping they make a fourth game and just evolve some more on Lara. I don't want another reboot where they go back to the LAU style of gameplay

Now that they've completed her origin arc there are so many things they could do for future games. I just love this Lara Croft lol
Rise of the Tomb Raider is by far the best Tomb Raider game ever made in my opinion, i never liked the older games, they always seemed too frustrating to play, and Lara is now a more realistic and human character from 2013 onwards. I can see how they took inspiration from Uncharted in that sense, as Lara can make mistakes and feel pain in a human like way, like nate
Anthony Stevens even though nates a sassy ass haha and hes got sully and elena at least. lara is mainly a lone wolf aside from jonah being a real nigga

There's one song which is being played mostly during the open roam at soviet facility(or maybe the whole snowy section I can't remember it correctly) and it has a very calm and repetitive rhythm. I can't find it here or even on the Spotify.

As I played through TR2013, there were a number of occasions where the music picked up during a climactic moment, drawing me even further into the game and completing the experience. Rise's soundtrack never once had one of those moments. I hope for the next one they put a little more care into it.
Just incase you weren't aware in December there is going to be a live performance in London. Nathan is going to have a full orchestral performance of all his music from TR 1, 2&3 all with awesome extensions. If you go to his soundcloud you can listen to some of the extended classic tunes that will be performed. Can't wait.

They scraped the theme music, scraped the original timeline, backstory and all and made a brand new game out of it. Yea the game was fun on its own, but even that, I am still hoping that they'll change her name so I can remember Lara Croft as who she truely was. She could have been a different girl inspired by the legendary Lara Croft who died in Egypt many years ago. Wouldn't that be a good reboot eborn of a great franchise?
No cause the franchise is about Lara Croft. How would they call that game of yours? Wannabe tomb raider? Lets face the fact it was another dying series from the 90s and eventually it had to be rebooted or stopped.
Dargor Rof Reboot is something worthy of doing, just like the 2009 Star Trek. But this TR reboot is like rebooting Star Trek by turning Enterprise into a warship and completely scraped the original timeline. All I'm saying is that Lara Croft's legend starts from her 9 year old and she wouldn't just made 300+ confirmed kill in each game.

Legend was a very good game imo, but as I said in my previous comment it was a dying series that needed to be brought into the 21st century. For example auto target was definitely a thing that had to go and as a result the dual pistols had to go as well which seems to have hurt many tomb raider fans' butts.

Seriously! The Legend theme was bloody amazing! Even Angel of Darkness, as terrible as that game was, had great music. I wish they kept the classic TR theme. Anything would be better than this industrial noise that doesn't really have any memorable tunes.
The spirit of adventure and the sweetness of the melodic fibers addressed to Lara is totally absent. Jason Graves offered us with the reboot a more traditional symphonic exercise that took precedence towards the fear, horror and intimate pieces, but with a true lack of bass and depth. Bobby Tahouri him, it's the opposite ... He offers us pronounced bass and depth but without any traits of follies or any significant themes ... Which offers an even more forgettable result than Graves. Troels Brun Folmann and Nathan McCree miss me so much.

It's sad when a spin-off (Guardian of Light, Temple of Osiris) understands better what the series is about that the main entries. Temple of Osiris in particular was good, and had a great main theme as well.
A lot of it does feel too much like your generic, "epic," film score for my liking... at least what I'm hearing. I doubt this is truly the "full" soundtrack. The original Tomb Raider through Underworld had very unique and majestic soundtracks.

I miss the Nathan McCree theme. Is it to much to bring it back? The original scores from the playstation were so much more memorable.
