@@carlbell5698 It's a correct fold vs. a good player. Vs. a maniac, it's just a call with Ace/Queen or a better hand. His bet sizing is just irrelevant. I will totally never believe a diamond flush since he check raise with 2 hearts on the flop and your holding the ace of diamonds.

For sure she plays with scared money. Every time I see her play it seems like she agonizes over all ins when she has a big hand like she’s scared of monsters under the bed all the time. Newbies just know that’s why it is so important to play within a bankroll so you can make those big calls or shoves and not worry about the money going in on that one hand.

Getting over 3 to 1 with both bricked straight and flush draws on board VS a player as wild as Tesla seems like a terrible fold IMO. The fact that the turn is the 10d and the river the 6d probably favors Xuan even more and makes a call even that much easier.
When the turn was 10 she bet and he rises and she should all in. She should won that hand.

Ultimately, Tesla seems to be better bankrolled than Xuan, which gives him the freedom to overplay hands in certain spots and maintain a wilder image. Xuan plays solid but is still vulnerable to bluffs like all players.

One of the worst folds I've ever seen. You are up against a complete maniac and it wasn't even that much she had already put in so much money. Funny part is if she just shoves on an earlier street you know that guy is calling. How much worse can you play a hand?

The check raise on the turn gave away the bluff.
The check raise on the flop makes sense from tesla. He checked to see if the draw comes in without committing to a huge pot. And then he re-raised to try to win the pot right there. The story he is telling makes sense so far.
But the check raise on the turn from tesla doesn't make any sense. The pot is already huge. You have the betting lead. The board is draw heavy. Why would he check to let her draw? He already shows he doesn't want her to draw for cheap? Why would he re-raise the flop? He already showed he wants to get to showdown for cheap with the check on the turn.
The story doesnt make sense. No hand would play this way. Sets and three of a kind would not check the turn and allow the flushes and straights to come in. two pairs would not check the turn and allow the flushes and straights to come in. Draws would check or check call to get to the river for cheap. Monsters would not re-raise the turn to scare you out of the pot. Since you can eliminate all these hands, the only thing left is a bluff. If the story doesn't make sense, the chances of it being a bluff are so high, it is worth calling.
edit: after thinking about this hand at work, she should not have called the re-raise on the flop. by calling his re-raise you are just hoping he stops betting - but loose players don't stop betting. if you check call the flop, you have to be prepared to commit your whole stack on his next raise - but if you are going to call his next raise anyway, then you should just re-re-raise the flop. tldr she should have raise + re-re-raise the flop or if she is feeling cowardly then raise + fold the flop

For tesla to check raise the flop, this means he has to have one of these 4 hands: Q10, QQ, 66, 1010 or just some hand with 2 hearts. However, a hand with 2 hears doesn't make sense. QQ, 1010 and even 66 doesn't make much sense since Tesla would be more aggro preflop. Also, improving to quads when you have aces, I'm just paying to see the truth of that story. If he began with Q10 and improved to trips, well, whatever, I'm just calling to see that. He is just as likely to play exactly the same with Q2 offsuit as he is with any of those hands. If my hand is Ace/Queen or better, I'm just calling absolutely any bet he lays out I don't care if its a trillion dollars. If he check raise and happens to river the 3rd diamond, whatever, thats poker I'm still calling.

You are check raised on a flop with 2 hearts, then he shoves on a board with 3 diamonds and 2 tens and 2 sixes. Xuan has both ace of hearts and diamonds in her hand, so frankly, I'm not that concerned about a flush only full houses. Theoretically, he COULD have a full house and how believable that is really depends on the player. Tesla is just as likely to shove on you with Q2 offsuit as a full house. Tesla is so aggressive, I'm actually not even going to bother betting unless I'm acting last, just let him overplay and call with top pair or better, check raise with trips or better. How much money he puts in is irrelevant, it has absolutely no bearing at all on the strength of his hand. These type of players try to intimidate you with overbetting, you should get their money most of the time. If you can't afford to call, you should be playing lower stakes where you can afford to call and lose 1/3 of the time. This could mean you lose 3 in a row just because your unlucky and happen to run into the rare hands he got lucky on.
Just pan the camera back between Liz, and Xuan. We can just hear the audio of the "others"

It’s easier said than done, watching a hand vs playing in it. And for all the people saying it’s easier to call knowing Teslas image, I’d argue you’re wrong and it makes it a harder call because it’s more likely he may have a random 10 or a 6. But yes it’s poor play from Xuan, played totally fine until the river, and a hand I’m sure she’d like to have back.
It’s way less likely he’s raising you on the flop with TT or 66 because either are quads by the river, so in retrospect at the river we know he’s probably reraising you with a queen or a heart draw. And also by the river the likelihood of betting a busted flush draw is high. For those reasons, and considering the price she is getting, it’s a must call that pays off quads or a full house (maybe QQ plays this way as well).
The one argument I think for folding, which is maybe what Xuan is thinking, is that most players would probably not bet a queen nor bluff in that spot knowing how good of a price they are giving her considering she is pot committed and clearly has a hand , so it really does stink of trying to get paid off on a big hand. She overthought it instead of just paying off the big hand with excellent pot odds, while catching a wide variety of bluffs including Tesla bluffing w a pair of Queens, JJ, 99, or maybe KK (but probably not KK because Tesla did not 4 bet her preflop, and probably not QQ as suggested earlier for this same reason)

I came to watch this, because I KNOW Xuan is a very good player. But this was sad. She's better than this. Everything he did, his action, made ZERO sense. SHE KNEW IT- but she began talking, and talking always leads to self-deception, and the lack of trust in your INSTINCTS. Wow.
