I'm so thankful you are family friendly. I can have your videos playing with my 5 year old around and have no concerns what-so-ever about what she will hear. I have to unsubscribe and not listen to so many who cuss (even occasionally) on their channel because of this (and some of them call their channel family friendly). And I'm glad you mentioned the 30 second ad watching, I had no idea so I'll start doing that.
I have fallen in love with your channel. It is because of you, today, I have cleaned, decluttered and organized my bathroom, bedroom and walk-in closet; all while watching/listening to your videos. Awesome show, seriously. I really have enjoyed watching so far. Thank you so much!!!
Hi from Glasgow Scotland UK. I live watching you and your husband. I hope you and your family all had a wonderful Christmas. All the best for you all in 2022 xxxxxxxx
Thank you both for the videos you are putting out each day. I love your Mom when she pops in and your kids are such eager beavers when it comes to helping out especially on the taste testing. haha. I just can't imagine the amount of work that goes into this. I was surprised at how much time it takes to make a video. So again thank you. Have a Blessed day. Margaret
Just ordered your Dining on a Dime cookbook. I love your videos. Wow 500,000 books sold that's $10,975,000 dollars just on this book alone. Way to Go!!!!! I love it when families are able to work at home and be there for their children. I believe that's what God intended.
LOL!!! I wish it was 10 million dollars. You don't get the full price of the book and for a large chunk of those books we only got paid $.0.25 each. :-)
You all have worked long and hard to finally get an income stream. I am not on Facebook and am so glad that you make your video available on TH-cam as it is my favorite place to hang out on line. Y'all are full of wonderful information and a lot of fun to watch! Wishing you continued success and growth!
I like the long videos, but it is easier to watch 20 minutes at a time. I will play the long ones as well, but sometimes if you are trying to learn something, you want quick. There are other times I want to hear you & Mike or you & Jill to tell stories. I love 💕 both, but it is nice when there are options Available-for example: I went and watched the fitted sheet video. I know how to fold these ONLY because my husband’s aunt taught me twenty years ago when I worked for a priest, then housekeeping, but it is short & sweet. I love both of the videos. Short & then, long w details. Variety. I think the variety.
🤣 spot on. Bought a cook book previously. Very fast shipping. 44-and income spot on. I just wish I had it 20 years ago when my kids were young. I still enjoy listening to all of you.
How you troubleshoot and fix the baking mess ups are so useful though! I get distracted and miss things, so seeing how someone else fixes mistakes or substitutes missing ingredients is so helpful.
thank you for sharing this. ì follow some family vloggers and they are not allowed to say certain things but at times they don't care and will say something that they are not allowed to say. you helped me to understand more. I have no doubt that it is a lot of work. watching some of the other channels that I follow definitely puts that in perspective. I wish you well and am keeping my fingers crossed.
If you can't afford the book, check the library. They may have the book or can purchase or interlibrary loan the book. I very rarely purchase books. It's just too easy to get them from the library.
I just placed a order for 2 of the books you have left. I love new way to save money. Have been home with my kid for over 30 years but still work a small home based business and my young that is still home is 15 loved stay home with my 5 kid and now i watch my granddaughter while my son work. So saving money is imporant to me. thank you
I did not know about watching the ads will do so from now on, as I really like you guys and want to help support you . I actually have bought at least a dozen of your cook books I have one and I have given the rest as birthday , Christmas, and wedding gifts. I have retired and am not at this time able to spend a lot but love, love, love your products and do on occasion still buy some of your products. I have learned so much from your site and watching you. Thank you so much.
Living on a dime family, you have been a blessing in many people's lives in so many ways! You may never know, but I hope you will be truely richly Blessed!
Yes, I love your long videos. I do my housework while I listen. My husband and children have even gotten used to hearing your voice while they work on their stuff. Also thank you for not having the toilet lady as your ad. I have to end that video as fast as possible because my husband is grossed out by it and my boys find it so lovely to share around school and then I hear about it from other parents.
About your cookbook---I purchased my second copy about a week ago. I gave my granddaughter my first copy when she moved out because the recipes and hints are great. However she has moved back in (an acute case of "failure to launch"), but her copy is buried in a box somewhere in the garage. I'm almost 70 and I'm a really good cook. The recipes in Dining on a Dime are simple, easy to make and very tasty. I can't stand recipes that require 25 different ingredients, half of them exotic. I love the helpful hints (Really? Who knew??) And your Mom, feeding kids on $7 a week? I can appreciate what she did because I've lived that very same life myself. So, thanks for all your efforts...they are much appreciated. Chris
I agree!!! The books are amazing (I think I have most, if not all copies of this book -well editions anyway 😁 - Also have Penny Pinchin’ Mama & Not Just Beans). I love all the tips & tricks as reading these books have been a huge part of me learning to cook, especially when I was a single mom for the first 10 years of my oldest son’s life (he’s turning 24 this year). As for YT constantly kicking me off of my favorite YT channels - it is super annoying. But I keep re-subscribing!
Thank you so much for sharing! I appreciate your channel so much. It's very fun to watch the videos with you and your mom, you both seem so sweet. Much love from Eastern Oregon! :)
I don't get the long video complaints even if I don't have time to watch it I'll either watch it later or just let it play and listen to it while I clean my kitchen so no big deal.
For me it’s the opposite issue. I thrive on their long videos. I look forward to them and get sad when they don’t come out fast enough 😂 Lmaooo!! 😍🤩😎👍🙌🏻👏🙏🏻🕊✝️
Darn, I missed the live show. I enjoyed the show tonight. That's something I like about you, all the recipes and tips are on your website. I can look them up till I feel like I can afford to get the book. I actually think I used to have that book a long time ago, but now I have no idea what happened to it.
I just started watching your videos a few days ago after watching She's In Her Apron trying to fold the fitted sheet :). I am glad I found you. I agree that your videos are long which is unusual to me but I can always stop and come back later if I need to. I subscribed, found your facebook group and your website and bought the ebook of Dining on a Dime. Thanks for what you are doing.
thank you both for exciting, funny and educating videos. your videos have often become the eveninngs entertaintment.and often in the nights when i cannot.sleep.Keep up your good work!!!
Oh, I meant to also suggest you go through the crockpot recipes and adapt them to the new rage "insta-pot" is the replacement for the crockpot as new book to sell!
I did too. I like the variety of the topics they talk about, and things they do. Just a normal family going through the same things most other families do and go through.
I love your videos. I'm doing a Patreon E-Course on starting a business with ZERO money just using the skills you already have. I learn a lot from you guys between your YOUTube Videos and your Facebook feed.
Hello this is Velma Grover from San Antonio I normally don't leave comments but I wanted to leave one today you and your husband and your mom are very beautiful kind-hearted people I look forward and seen your video and I thank you for sharing .
Anne Gaddis, appliance prices are usually low for Mother's Day. Check newspapers ads. I bought mine at Walmart after Christmas. I paid $49 for a 5 1/2 qt Instant Pot. The 6 qt. Was $75. 8 qt goes for approximately $100. 3 qt serves 1-2 people. 6 qt for 3-4 people. 8 qt for larger family or company. You can check on line prices your self. There is the original brand and now brands like Panasonic, Faber, Pioneer Woman. If you check out Costco or Sam's, be sure to check if asscessories are included in the basic price. There are many asscessories available on line. I bought original brand. There is a learning curve. Cheap is always relative. IP allows you to get rid of several small appliances, is fast, and you can cook whole meals, yogurt, cheesecake, rice, boiled eggs, etc.
You have great informational information that allot of people would like to listen to. How can much are your cookboks and how do we pay for them. I love the way you two talk to each other
Thank you for stating to pay just $1.00 more on the credit cards. Just to keep moving ahead. Your advice was positively genius and took me out of a mental quagmire.
You guys are an absolute kick in the pants! I don't get hooked on TV, movies youtube channels etc etc et-cetter-aahrgh! But I'm totally hooked on your videos. Love you ALL! ❤🙏
Thank you for these details. Several people have suggested I should create a similar following with a healthy lifestyle thread. I do have some unique angles and a high success rate in clients achieving their health goals. But I'm not so sure it's worth all the work involved. Thanks for helping me sort that out. With all your family does to make this work, it's more than full time! I do love helping people live healthy pain-free lives. I'm just not sure social media is sustainable unless we sell products. I'm more about lifestyle than product.
I'm glad you make the videos. I watch them all. When I watch live I prefer to watch on Facebook. I'm not sure why it just seems to play smoother for me. Thank you again for sharing your lives with us. Hugs🤗
Hi I have to tell you both this just after you said 'if u watch an add for 30 sec yous get a few pence ' right an ad came on and it only came on for a few seconds, I was in a rush to tell yous this and have no glasses on hopefully my spelling and grammar is correct best of luck loving your videos especially your mum shes very special x
excellent video, very informative. I let the ads run, I just turn my volume off so I do not hear them and yes, if I do not have time to watch the whole video I know how to use the fast forward button. Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
I probably make that when I do my surveys but the extra money helps us. I use the money to buy lowes gift cards, or paypal cash that I cash out and have a check sent to me, or amazon dollars that I buy things like food and car parts. It really helps. My brothers love using the gift cards at Lowes to buy wood and things to fix things around the house.
$1400 a month would change my family's life. At this point, I've been on youtube for 27 months and just hit the 1K subscriber requirement. I'm just going to keep making videos. It's not super expensive or time-consuming for me. We are older parents, and I'm hoping to be able to make some money to supplement our retirement, once our kids finish school, so I have about 5 more years to work on it.
I'm a TH-cam watcher and I love your long videos! You're my guilty pleasure to watch while washing the dishes in the evening. I've bought lots of cookbooks in the past but having yours and watching the shows gets me to try new recipes. And I love seeing your family😉
Tara, I love your long videos. You are correct. We make 250k/yr, but I am an example of an avid viewer. We live in a very expensive part of the country where we are licensed.
Love your show because you show that despite low incomes people can still have a full life and enjoy good food and a nice home. Anyone at any time can be faced with a low income and Jill's story shows that you can still survive and be happy. The interaction between Mom and Daughter is so special, also whole family is super nice and normal.
You shouldn't feel like an idiot for things going wrong. It makes you seem more real or human, plus I can't even imagine how stressful it is to be cooking for a live audience.
Hello this is Velma Grover I just bought your cookbook volume one I'll be looking forward and using the cookbook and I will be buying your volume 2 after I receive volume one and I thank you for sharing
Never seen you b4 but I like this vid. Very informative. Will subscribe based on the appreciation shown in the comments. Interested in your saving tips + budget recipes. Will binge watch on the weekend. TFS.
I’m confused. The other TH-cam channels I subscribe to don’t sell products. They clean their homes, grocery shop, shop for their homes, organize, cook. They say they make more money doing TH-cam than if they work a 9-5 job. You say you can’t make much unless you have a product to sell. They also Never tell how much they make. They always say TH-cam prohibits them from telling what they make.
Ok. I came back to watch again, hopefully to learn how I can see the camera disaster that I missed, and for maybe the first time ever I did NOT SKIP the ad at the beginning!
I believe many people are like me. Love watching "reality" show. I mean, it is ok to have some mistakes when you are doing live recording. Compare to those videos edited perfectly. Nice to watch, but not so real. I do enjoy your show, especially frugal living topics and I love Jill Cooper's sharing. Even though I don't stay in States. I manage to cut down electricity, water bill half and I am a stay-home mother :) I totally believe what you said, because I am living in an Asian country where living cost is not less than New York (more than New York in my opinion) . Thanks for your hard works. Will continue to support.

No

Hello this is Velma Grover I just bought your cookbook volume one I'll be looking forward and using the cookbook and I will be buying your volume 2 after I receive volume one and I thank you for sharing
It's a full time job, people don't realize and you're putting yourself out there.
You are looking really well Tawra xxx
I really hope you record a podcast! X
I watch you guys at 1.25 speed to overcome the length a bit.
Please do living cheap on retirement videos. Does your mom have her own TH-cam site?
