I consider APO as one of the greatest pioneers of OPM. To me , they were the the Beatles of the Philippines in terms of their song writing prowess , their fun,meaningful and timeless songs. We watched them once on their farewell tour here in Atlantic City. I gather they had a falling out because of politics, i wish they would get together again and do another tour here in the US on a large stage like Las Vegas… sold out for sure!!
“Princesa” and “Salawikain” should be included as part of their greatest hits.

Hearing Apo HIking Society reminds me of my childhood days back in Philippines. Great era for OPM in my opinion, including Boypren, Sampaguita, VST & Co., Yolly Samson, Dulce and many more. Many good old memories in Philippines during the golden years of the Philippines under the Marcos reign. My family left Philippines June of 1980. My father got a job in Canada.
