In my opinion, I can't choose between the two because are so wonderfully done. The Notebook is heart breaking because it shows what it's like to lose your soulmate and life partner to dementia and have them not remember you or your life together. A Walk to Remember is heart breaking because it shows pure innocent and young love cut short by illness and death. Dang it, now I want to watch both of them but I have to finish a term paper for school...
To me, the most heartbreaking yet sweetest act was when Landon's estranged father paid for Jaime's home care and Landon broke down in tears in gratitude T.T
This part is very integral in the fact that Landon has been showing strength the entire time for Jamies sake, being the rock. This scene shows the true breakdown of how Landon not only missed his father but he needed him for support beyond just financial help. Tears are water and even rocks can be destroyed by it. Great scene.

watched this movie again last night and as always, it didn’t fail to make me cry. what i realized about this film is that it is not just an unconditional love story but it is also a story about healing and mending through that great love. read the book as well and the movie might be different from it but the two are equally amazing and moving. the book showed us how it is to unconditionally love someone, but the movie showed us how that unconditional love could redirect one person’s life and find its real purpose. really love the fact that shane west and mandy moore gave life to these two well-loved characters 🤍

Why am I crying while watching these clips? I first saw A Walk To Remember when I was in highschool, and now I’m in my mid 30s, it still has the same effects on me.
I've seen it more than 10x and I've cried in all those occasions. I'm even crying now even with these short clips. This hits right in the core even though you haven't experienced any of the characters' circumstances. Best romance movie ever made and I'm proud that I'm with the generation that witnessed it the first time it was shown in cinemas. :)

This was the first movie I watched with my wife, 20 years ago right after we'd met. 8 years ago our 2 year old daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. Thankfully she recovered and is a clear, happy 10 year old, but the chance of it coming back means I'll probably never be able to watch this movie again. I wish we had movies like this again, ones that told simple stories of real-life tragedies encased in beauty.

when Jamie admitted she was sick I got teary eyes only because I was shocked by that turn of events but when Landon swallow his pride and ride over to see his dad and beg to see and have him check Jamie had me on my pillow crying like a broken cow 😭😭😅
