I can’t wait to share this video with you, I honestly think it’s one of my best. Don’t get me wrong - I am proud of all of my videos, but this one just feels very… funny, you know? I like a video that includes a lot of skits - of course it isn’t the end of the world if there aren't any, but it definitely adds a comedic touch. Plus, you guys seem to enjoy them, so, it’s happy days really. Oh, by the way… I’ve just moved house! It’s in the middle of nowhere, so it’s very peaceful, and at night, the street is as quiet as a church mouse. However, during the day, the sound of birds tweeting is as common as muck, so it’s a nice mix. Anyway, after watching this video, you probably feel the urge to like and subscribe, right? Honestly… go for it. It will truly make my day.

Emma: Hey Rachel, I've got amazing news, Mark proposed to me yesterday. It's happy days, innit? 🥳
Rachel: Congratulations, Emma! You just made my day with this news.
Emma: We are planning to move to ... Mars 😂
Rachel: Don't get me wrong, but your house will be in the middle of nowhere.
Emma: You're right, but as we both work from home, we need a quiet place, and this neighbourhood is as quiet as a church mouse. I'm just bothered because we have to drive for 20 minutes until we reach the nearest supermarket.
Rachel: Then go for it. It's not the end of the world, you can get home delivery. I can't wait to see my best friend, the most beautiful bride.

Hi Dylan, thank you so much for your wonderful lessons, I just love them!!! I have one question though: You always pronounce the word "the" with an "i" sound (like in "it", or longer like in "eagle") whereas I learnt that this happended only when the following word starts with a vowel sound. Thank you for explaining this to us , and have a good day!

Isn’t it as poor as a church mouse? 🤔 There’s the same expression in Czech.
In Polish we also say 'as poor as a church mouse' 😮
We normally say ‘quiet’, but I can imagine that church mice are probably broke too ☺️

@@ewaniewiadomska137we have the same idiom in Ukraine as well. For example, students are always as poor as a church mouse 🐭so that their scholarships are incredibly low at this moment
