When I get the income....I want to buy a franco chain from you. Nothing crazy thick but not small/fragile. From what I been seeing it will be around $1,000 to $1,800 for the length and diameter I like. Would like it to at least be 14k but think I might have to go 10k if I'm honest with my income i have. No matter what you think about Trax, the fact that he has other companies in the jewelry district fronting him hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold with basically a handshake shows the kind of business owner he is. They trust Max enough to know he's a man of his word and won't screw anyone over. It takes years, probably decades to build that kind of reputation.
I'm sure there's security reasons for it. Probably way more likely the reasoning behind it. As well as taxes and probably paying a larger margin if you pay each time you grab a small amount as opposed to let's say, monthly. It makes it much easier to set up theft and robberies when large amounts of gold and diamonds are moved at once instead of small portions at a time. Also, cash as well, much easier to process the gold in smaller amounts and then probably make a bank transfer from 1 account to the other, or a check. I'm sure there's plenty reasons for why business is done in that manner in the diamond district that benefits all involved. Either way, the fact that Maksud found a way to go from no connections to where he's at today, that's the part that is impressive the most.
That's pretty much how business goes down there. I was a runner for another big company.

Questions, would you prefer to buy a 24k gold bracelet or a 24k gold bracelet with diamonds? Which would be better? Price difference is about 3k more with diamonds.
Depends on the person. Some people like ice, some don’t…I prefer my gold without diamonds, but I’m not a flashy person. And the gold is where the investment is at. Depending how you have the stones set, you’re drilling into the gold ultimately making it weigh less, and replacing that gold weight with stones.
24k gold is a bit fragile, in my ignorance is not worth it, 14 or 18 is good, don't buy jewerly as an asset, they aren't, buy just the weight that you want in oure gold (little bars and other) if you want diamonds remember that small diamonds if they aren't particulary special are not a big thing, you will lose a lot of it's value, i suggest you if you want ice and gold on a bracelet to buy a 18k or even a 14k, the thing is that if you choose a tennis type you need big ass diamonds and it will be expensive, the majority of the price difference is for the casting, the setting and the actual time to make the piece, diamonds are less valuable than gold in small pieces
24k is super soft. I'd honestly only make thick pendants out of 24k and It's way to soft to set stones in. One wrong press against clothe an if a prong gets stuck, it can bend with ease and you'd lose your stones. Assuming you do put stones in pure gold settings, they'd be of high clarity and value. To risky. I'd say if you have money to make pure gold jewelry, you could do whatever you want with it. I'm a jeweler myself and if a client ever wanted stones in 24k, I'd highly suggest not doing it. As homie stated above, gold is where the investment lies. So unless you're adding VS1 pointers to your piece, 100% natural, or even flawless, I wouldn't do it. Maybe a giant solitaire with heavy thick prongs just to flex. But I don't think anything more than 22k is safe for jewelry unless its a pendant with a thick bail like the 3 casted in this episode. It's just simply too soft.

I agree, never stones in 24k but my comment was aimed more so at gold in general. I wear a 14k chain and having a custom 14k pendant being made right now. I’m not into diamonds but unless you’re having prongs added, you’re losing that weight in gold to have holes drilled for diamonds. That’s a no go in my book.

False statements when you say not many are doing any pieces in 22k - 24k. Just take a ride on your scooter to Chinatown and you’ll see stores full of 24k. Go to any indian store you’ll see 22k pieces. Be honest with the viewers.
