My max electric range still now was 82 km, but on 20” standard new all season michelen wheels and driving in B. I believe to see you were driving in D. Why you did not use B. I believe during breaking you will regenerate some energy, surely in hills.
Congrats on your new car 🎉 Yeah I'm always driving in D. There's actual no real benefits with driving in B. It does regen but the resistance also requires slightly more acceleration. However.. I use the B when rolling down steep hills, or if rolling in towards a red light. Limited usage nevertheless.

Hello. I can't find any reviews, which show how the eAWD behaves when the battery is empty - maybe you can think of a way to demonstrate this? I know that in theory it should work fine, but it's always better to have some proof. Thanks!
Hello. Yeah, I can try to make a video of that eventually. But long story short. The battery are never empty. There's always a reserve. And when you active the AWD functionality the petrol engine will immediately start charging the electric motor for direct usage.

Better ICE engine would make this perfect. 5m long highlander Toyota has combined cycle 6.5l/100km consumption from 2.5l NA 4cyl with 1.5kwh battery. I have seen people tell 10.9l/100km on xc90 in 120kmh without battery help.
It would have been more appropriate for Volvo to fit the T8 with a larger battery by now to match the 70 miles Range Rover has as well as introducing DC charging for the long road trips.

Yeah, see your point there. Mercedes also has a Plug-In with serious range. Maybe Volvo will improve it even further eventually.
