I think of waiters, at a fancy restaurant, ready to take our orders. But what are each waiters, hopes and dreams? To become a world-famous chef? To save up their money, to put their kids through college? To save up, t take a tour, around the world? To find the love of their life, from whom they take an order, some day soon?
There is no indication in the bible that Salome's dance was in any way erotic, or involved veils, or the removal of clothing. Just that she danced at Herod Antipas' birthday banquet and Herod was so pleased that he offered Salome anything she wanted - upto half his kingdom. I think the first time the seven veils appears is in the English translation of Oscar Wilde's French language play "Salomé." I am unfamiliar with Flaubert's short story Herodias, but Wilde may have based Salome's character and actions on this work because I think that's where he got her name from. I maybe wrong.
I am so sorry but this looks like a load of old tosh to me! I think i might have a go at choreography as well,I mean I don't doubt the effort put in here by the dancers but really this so far out there.......I think Salome meets Worzel Gummidge would have been more relevant.
I know nothing about this and why it popped up on my feed but I had a good laugh wondering if any of these actors ever regret their career choices. If a friend of mine invited me to watch them perform in this play I would have no choice except take the absolute piss out of him or her for the rest of their lives.
Der Tanz sollte Ursprünglich berauschend wirken und dem König die Sinne rauben. Davon ist hier nichts zu erkennen. Leider hat der Choreograph hier versagt
For years I used to think what is missing in opera and ballet erotic? When one watches strip-tease, there is harmony, beauty and elegance. Why watching ballet or opera, where performers undress is so disturbing? Watching this piece I understood. There are vulgar. The movements are square, sudden and weird. There is the feeling, that performers do it because they must. They do not want but they have to. And this is why, such performance is so bad.
I'm usually a cynical and critical guy, but I think that this staging is superb -- both the choreography and the music. I have paid good money to attend performances that were far inferior to this.
☺️☺️☺️🇨🇵 l liked . And do not forget : long live to the show !!!
Its interesting to see all the different interpretations of this dance.

According to the biblical mythology, Salomé is supposed to finish naked.
With John's severed head
certainly a myth, but it does add interest.

@@NigeHaines anyway it doesn't matter what the biblical mythology pays, in Richard Strauss' opera she is naked.

I have no clue what's going on here but that girl's hot

I went to a production of "Salome " live in Dublin about 25 years ago. It was way weirder than this ! I paid to see it !
a lot of unstoppable commercials in, thumbs down

Che c'entra Salome'?

Www
la musique est banale !!!
