What a beauty, the G650 is one truly impressive aircraft. Imagine all the possibilities with a 13,000km range and nearly 1,000km/h speed! And of course, a very fat bank account 😂Great footage Matt!
I'm telling you the best decision we ever did was to buy our own plane. We started out with the g5 and now we have this one. My wife makes all the decisions when it comes to our airplane. She was the one who really wanted this. Ever since 9/11 I refuse to fly on a commercial airline. I'm not dealing with the attitude that they give you at the screening and scanning. I have no problem with them having safety precautions in place. They just gave the TSA too much power and it went to their head. So my wife came up with the idea of buying our own plane. The most important thing is to find the right pilot. He is like part of the family. He and his family travel with us throughout the summer. I love watching this video of landing and taking off. Most of the time I only get to see it from the inside. If this is something you're thinking about either buying a share or getting into a lease I would highly recommend it. You just got to make sure that your broker shows you what exactly it's going to cost you a year. It doesn't matter if you buy it straight out there are all sorts of fees involved. Every airport you land at there's a fee but some of them wave that fee or reduce it if you purchase fuel while you're on the ground. Then you have maintenance. You are not allowed to perform any maintenance on the aircraft yourself. Someone has to be certified. This is sort of like a car. When you buy a new car they give you a book so you can have information on what maintenance you had done and where and how much. Now if you forget that it's not an issue. On a aircraft if someone forgets to write down what was done and when you could be forced to stay where you're at until someone certifies your plane is flight ready. That's where a good pilot comes in. The good one make sure this stuff is documented and that copies are made. And this is an additional cost is your pilot. Just make sure whoever you hire you get along with them. I enjoyed your video. Now this is going to make me video take off and landing.
Thank you David for your message. The G650 is a most impressive aircraft. It was great to see G-DSMR at Bern. IMO, this is the best jet ever made. My viewpoint is limited on account of being financially challenged.
