Okay this may sound really stupid and sorry if some find it offending but what is the difference between Cook Islands and the Islands of Tahiti? I get sooooo confused over it.

I am Cook Islander by background.. The real difference lies in who were governed by. Tahitian governed by the French hence the reason why they speak French, Cook Islands is governed by the British, hence the reason why English is our first language (although we do tend to speak half English/half C.I. We're literally a few hours away from each other...but not too different..we may call things some different, or dance slightly different but overall were still kinda the same!! I can tots see how this can be confusing ;)
