I just watched The Ladybug netflix movie, I knew Cristina Vee was a singer even though I never heard her before, so I was confused why they didn't use her for the singing. After watching this I'm even more confused.
idk if this is true... but according to some people jeremy kinda promised to lou that she could sing english dub vr too if she wanted.. which she did tho along with french dub and yeah sometime promise are just promises tho.. you cant really break it.. if you promise to someone then later on denied the promise later on.

As it is, it creates frustration with the movie and the singer. If they were all transparent then it'd be more fine, but it feels like a thing of greed and the contract to hold over people's heads because she gets the publicity. Meanwhile a lot of people who watch the show still have no idea how much Cristina can sing, which in turn hurts her chances for future musical parts. She's voiced Marinette for ages, she deserves the part. TLDR while I personally don't assume the worst about the singer, the lack of reasoning given from the source creates frustration regarding the movie; from feeling like the high ups don't really care what the audience thinks, to feeling that Cristina got unfairly snubbed, etc.
