Hi David pls did the embassy send a lawyer to do a background check on your wife’s documents? Eg. Going to her home to verify from her people?
Sorry for the late reply. There wasn't any document verification or background check for our application. How did yours go?
Hallo thanks for the information I also applied for the visa on 16July 2024 they sent me an email that verification of my documents is already taking place and they asked my hubby to submit his documents and he did it in one day should I think that I will get a visa or not.Thanks

Hi David, Is it possible for one to bring their minor children on reunification visa if both parents are master students, with enough blocked funds for themselves and the children or does one require a work contract?
Yes, you can bring your children whiles on a student residence permit. You will need a separate financial proof for the children, and that can be a form of blocked account or probably take a temporal part time job just for the process.

Hii bro the government gets new law in 1/1/ 2023 introduced several chenges in imgeration law .the sopuses will no longer needed demonstrate A1level german language proficiency to be eligible for reunification is that true please tell me about A1 test
Hello, yes these are proposals and they are yet to approve it. Currently, you have to provide A1 German language proficiency if your spouse is not a bluecard holder.

When you talk about living space 24sqm, you mean the bed room should be 24sqm ? Or both the living room and bedroom
Bed plus living room should be 24sqm or more.

I have applied for my Wife for the same Visa since April 2023 but i was sent on the Waiting list. Till now no appointment date for Interview has been scheduled

That was travel insurance, for travel contingences. It is different from health insurance. The partner who is in Germany, if they have a public health insurance, can cover you.

You can study the language at any language school in your country or even with youtube but the exams has to be written at the Goethe Institute in Tanzania. There is actually a Goethe institute in Dar es Salaam.

N.B: I'm from Nigeria
Though the duration is different for each application but it normally takes 3 months on the avarege for processing. Our own took 3 months.

Your Partner can also check on the foreigners office here in Germany.
I checked my WG contract now, my room itself is 20,98 qm and we have separate kitchen and bathroom. Can this work?
You know, in Germany, when they say 24, it should be 24. When it comes to things like this, don't think they will let it pass in Germany. Try to measure it yourself and see if it will be up to the 24. If its up, tell your landlord to update the contract. A shared kitchen and bathroom is okay.

This is calculated by the foreigners office and it is based on your income, rent and other expenses. You have to ask the foreigners office to tell you how much you should block.
The lawyer of the embassy never went to visit ur wife place if they marriage was fake or not ?? Cause I actually have the same situation now which the lawyer of German embassy must do it in a few days coming cause I married a German woman
We didn't have that, but I heard some people had to do that. Maybe it's based on individual circumstances.

If the student doesn't have a job, is it possible to open blocked account in the name of spouse and use that as financial proof?
That might work, but it would be best if you have at least a part time job and top it up with a blocked account.

It is possible but it is also good if you have at least a part time job to reduce the blocked account amount.

The amount of money is determined by the foreigners office. There is no quoted amount out there but they take into consideration how much you pay for rent and the remaining allowance for other expenses. So, this is subjective. My suggestion to you is, add all your expenses including rent and add additional 500 euros for your partner.

You can apply for family reunion visa if your spouse has 1. German passport 2. Permanent residence 3. Residence permit (eg. student permit).

Uncle to nephew relationship is normally not regarded for family reunion visa unless for a very critical circumstances.

How soon is it advisable to apply for children . Must I first graduate or I can do it when i settle in Germany?
Having children in Germany is tough. So, I think you should bring them when you have sufficient accommodation and good financial standing.

I think Yes you can apply but which country did you want to apply?
I applied without a1 and it was nairobi embassy.
I think it's possible but I would recommend you get the certificate first so you don't prolong the processing time. They can only start the process when all requirements are fulfilled.
