Denny Zager is still alive and builds custom guitars at Zager Guitars in Lincoln, Nebraska. Rick Evans passed away in 2015 at the age of 72.

Grew up with this song!! Talked about things they could have never known!! This was their ONE HIT WONDER!! Never put out another song as far as I know!!
i agree, this was their only song! i have their album and recalling back (many years) there were a couple of really good ones! take a listen on TH-cam. if you can find the album!
These guys were ahead of their time, many things have come true, test tube babies, artificial limbs, life support systems, pills for mental illness, depression medication, its a shame they were considered one hit wonders.
This song came out the same year I entered Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, NE, where Zager and Evans attended and met each other. The song was on the radio in Lincoln and then every where. Since then, the song has entered the ears and minds of millions of people with the song's prophetic visions. Interestingly, not much reference to Zager and Evans on the campus, which I visit a couple times each year. No need, it spread around the world.
My roommate at the girl's High School I went to, loved this song...she drove me nuts...everytime she came into the room she turned on the record player and played this song...so I drove her crazy with Abraham, Martin, and John...LOL
The 60’s is easily the best decade EVER for great music.

This song was #1 for 6 weeks back in the summer of 1969. Zager was the singer of this one hit wonder.

Hey Adogg! I haven’t heard this song in YEARS!! I don’t know which one is which- or their story- but I do remember hearing this song in my younger years…. It hit #1 in 1969 during the moon landing. Unfortunately, they were a “one hit wonder” and they never had another hit.
There is a video that goes with this, they are basically a one-hit wonder although they do have other songs I don't know any of them! The video is awesome, you should check it out!

I think Evans was the main singer. You need to see the video with the old silent movie Metropolis ss the video source. I've seen 5 different videos, and it's by far the best.
Zager Was the singer and writer of that song. They were a one hit wonder, so it would be very hard to find another of their songs. No they are not brothers.
