I reached dipsedodedo and died. I am crying. I must be sleep deprived, I laughed so hard, especially when it then pulled daihrrrrrrea for the blackmail. I am in tears, my sides hurt, I don't think I've laughed so hard in a room on my own before, the men in the van with the white coats are coming for me
The design of hypnotorious is a bit conflicted, I think. Like, the existence of the outlier is there to keep people from collaborating too much, but also to prevent them from being totally obscuring. But the outlier doesn't know they're the outlier, and can only guess who the outlier is as quickly as everyone else. So there's no real way for them to act on the information, since they don't have it? And even if they knew they were the outlier, they'd still have to ALSO guess the other categories so they can try and obscure who they are. They're incentivized to make everyone else guess wrong, but don't have the tools or information to make that happen? And even if the majority guesses correctly who the outlier is, everyone is given points even if they pointed to the wrong person? Maybe it's not to reward the majority but punish the outlier? But punish them for... what? The game appears to want you to collaborate somewhat-but-not-too-much, rewards guessing, but punishes one person for being different even if they were doing a good job and collaborating with everyone, which they have no tools or knowledge to counteract? That's kinda sad. This is all aside from the fact that the categories don't appear to always be strongly connected.
Hypnotorious seems like it has too much to track for this format. The previous games they've done along these lines tend to feed one or more people a malicious prompt that's only relevant for one interaction. Whereas here, the outsider is going to give themselves away (if they do) over the course of several answers, either by taking a hard turn into lying as though they belong to a populated category they've discovered, or by repeatedly answering honestly such that perks can guess what they are and that they don't fit. And it's fine for note taking to be a huge advantage in a game, but maybe not for a jackbox party game. Edit: I'm stupid, you can actually just see some of this stuff by tapping on or hovering over people in a way that didn't come across on steam
thats the exact reason i didnt like fixytext lol, but that's so valid, game packs are great cause you dont need to like all of them, social deduction games are popular but they make me so anxious, quite a few in jacbox that are beloved and i'd be controversial to say i dont like
It's a fun day when a Jackbox VOD goes up
3:47:42 the way shiv says "kitty" here gives me copious amounts of serotonin

Twas wondering, literally always enjoy these. Barrold Jackbox streams have become my chaotic white noise for laughs, work, & sleep 👏🏾

every now and then my zone-out vibe gets interrupted by someone screaming on jackbox, good for when you need to stay up to reset your sleep pattern :p

The classical remixes on dodoremi remind me of Boom Boom Rocket
idk how you’d work it out on stream but I think it’d be fun to see your perspective of the dodo re mi game
