Mate to love this movie, you gotta see it from this perspective.
      1. He is alone, from the start. That way all plot twist wasn't for nothing.
      2. Captain represents his logic (and military sense) which is his background in the air force, Nash is his fears, and Zoe is irrationality.
      3. His mind is trying to make justifications on what ever is happening, for example to justify how he can talk to Zoe, his mind creates a scenario of him being underground in Mexico to make sense of it all, but since it wasn't the captain saying it, it was all BS.
      4. When you see him in the airlock, you see the captain walking away, means his logic has given up. He choose to give in.

      ## Three astronauts (James Brolin, Sam Waterston, O.J. Simpson) are about to launch into space on the first mission to Mars. But when a mechanical failure surfaces that would kill the three men, NASA removes them from the Capricorn One capsule. To prevent a public outcry, NASA launches the capsule unmanned and requires the astronauts to film fake mission footage in a studio. However, the plan is compromised when an ambitious journalist (Elliott Gould) discovers the conspiracy.

Did you just spoil the plot without a spoiler alert? Am I missing something?

I watched it and I love the genre but this was a really bad film. The premise is simplistic while pretending to be sophisticated. So yeah, bad film. Should have been a 20 minute short.

OMG how utterly boring can a movie get. Who on earth writes this garbage and who on earth thinks it’s worth wasting time and money making a movie out of it?

Looks like a stupid movie. If you have any real attachments on Earth, you shouldnt sign up for a lengthy space mission. If love matters that much, dont leave your gf. And if you are mentally weak, I wouldnt want you as a co-astronaut.
