John Brown's War

A dramatic short film about the last meeting between old friends Frederick Douglass and abolitionist John Brown, where Brown tries to enlist the former slave to take up arms against the slave states.
Browns ill- fated raid the following day of an arsenal at Harpers Ferry, Virginia, would be one of the opening salvos of the American Civil War.

Featuring wonderful performances from John Herbert and Kristian Leslie, as well as Civil War photography by Mathew Brady.
