Arrma infraction V1 vs V2 my thoughts after a month

- Ran my 8s v1 with the V2 infraction with a hand brake and I have to say getting used to the had brake really does have some benefits I was very happy with it at first but find myself using it to try different drift moves I’m shocked that it’s growing on me this V2 has got me impressed stock my v1 on 8s I thought would be better so check out my video it’s a little dark but I feel I got the pout across 🙏🙏

I love how in-depth your videos are. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve went back and reference your video where you do a complete tear down of your in fraction with the GCRC 130 mile an hour title that video has helped me tear down my RC countless times I use it as a blueprint even when I don’t need it sometimes I got a playing in the background.
Its nice to see them back to back. That V2 Infraction really looks like a blast!

What's the parts compatability like between the v1 and v2?
Only Arrma 6s I have had ESC issues with is on my Felony. Get a little cut out when I leave it full speed too long. Looking the just swap it out with the arrma 8s set up.
First you really do a good job on your videos I have a limitless with a castle xlx and 2700kv tp motor. 👍👍
That’s a great speed rip set up did you put the old update in the xlx to get over 400 amps ? Castle link I love because the 200 amps stock on the xlx is fast but the older program with the 400 + amps it puts out is insane appreciate the support 🙏🙏💯💯💯💯

So the max6 handles 8s? Do you think the Mamba Monster X 8s esc is the way to go? I have a 100% stock infraction V2 with no issues, but was just thinking about it.
The MMX8s is a good system it might have to many amps for the stock motor tho on 8s 👍👍🔥🔥💯💯
Am I also the only person that experienced grabbing the truck with the same method as you do and the screws pulling right out of the body? I bought m3 x.70 x 30 mm screws and put lock nuts on the underside so it will never pull out. Stock screws were stripped from factory and pulled right out upon first try grabbing the bar

The V2 shell is made for the V2 it should fix perfect on both v1 and V2 the 2050 lasted me a year so far still going 👍👍💯💯💯
Earl, how well does the max 6 hold up to bashing on 8s? Im building 2 speed run machines, and want to build a 3rd vehicle on 8s just to finish off the batteries once the speed passes are complete. Is the max 6 enough, or should I get a MMX 8s?

I feel the electronics on the V2 are way better and the rear drive shaft bearing support works so yes V2 is better for sure 🔥🔥💯💯💯
I just got the hand brake set up for mine but I’m not sure it’s worth it at all 🤔. I bash it way harder though maybe different style, but tight spots no prob
The brake just seem to help me when I learned to tap it for a more accurate drift at first I was hitting the brake hard and found it useless 👍👍🔥🔥💯💯💯
Yep definitely got to get those led lights for it, Phils looks cool 😎 with them. I want to get a set for mine but at the moment shipping times are unbelievable slow, my game changer fans are still somewhere in the US 😔.

Depends xlx if you want one and done speed runs but if you want 140 mph run after runs with little cool down time the MMX88 is better 🔥🔥💯💯💯

For those people telling you to learn how to drive they dont know what they are talking about lol you tapping the throttle to skid is equivalent to throttle modulation on a drift car to stay in drift great vid earl. im still torn infraction v2 or felony and everything being out of stock only adds to my pain

i owned both v1 and v2 cant really tell the difference they both great rcs talking on stock setup tho i do fink the v2 esc is better then the v1 plus the stock controller on the v2 is much better then the v1 but i fink there basically the same rcs apart from the colour body skeme arrma did well with these scale rcs love them both very fun to drive great vid by the way

Tap the throttle is a must😇 formula 1 racers do it when weaving though traffic comes during practice, and other types of racers, I hear it in rockbouncer racing lots ,it help keep momentum on rocky steep up hill climbs,drifting,, you can manurer around corners , swings back end easy like earls doing right here . Nice 💣💪🏾💯

I got a defective 2050kv from arrma on my exb took me a month to find it out because it was cogging on accelration on 14t. So me fed up i bought the firma motor 2050kv who comes with the new infraction. But is the rotor and end caps compatible??
Idk if the rotor and end cap is compatible I thought the ExB was only sold as a roller ? 🤔🤔

I put 2 led strips down the center support & 2 12v fish eye LED’s for headlights. Running them off a 4s drone battery for extra 💥. Lol.... the left/right drift difference is weight distribution with adjustments in the tension of the shocks
the hand brake will assist a drift of sorts but the steering angle for V1 and V2 is the same. i would have liked to see Arrma change the steering set up on V2 to a wider drift style angle. still not a fan of going and buying a V2 just for a handbrake. always appreciate your vids though pal
The electronics in the V2 are better and the steering servo in the V2 is quicker I agree needs more angle would have been nice and the quite gears in the V2 makes it feel smoother to me 🤔🤔👍👍🔥🔥💯💯💯💯

All arrmas! Find orange lock tite from a auto store. Make sure you shake it up good. Never had a tire come off with this method. Let it dry overnight. I’ve damaged so many tightly secured tires brand new. A lot of trial and error
It’s always the right rear because it stripped the hex on the rim and the impacts it way off 💯💯👍👍👍

Earl I like them both. And my opinion is keep one 6s and the other on 8s . Because when you sit down and think about it. There WILL BE times that you will want a little less power than a 8s and then other times that you will want to show off the big guns and then you can whip out the 8s and let the big dawgs eat. 👍🏻 But seeing how you have a V1 8s and V2 6s I am willing to bet EVERYONE would like to see you build a 3rd Infraction that has the best of both worlds. I only got 5 packs out of the first BLX 2050kv before I killed the bearings. Second one maybe 3 packs and same thing. I have no idea how you have gotten so much life outta yours Earl I’m super impressed. I run 2 LIHV 4S packs so maybe the lil extra kick or my heavy finger lol 😆
Idk I have 4 infraction and limitless on 8s but I do install ceramic bearing in two of them 👍👍🔥🔥💯💯💯

Earl, I’m a professional driver by trade and been racing real cars for many years, throttling theExcelerator doing doughnuts or figures of eights, keeps the car in control and balance. Here in the UK we have saying, there’s drivers and there’s screwdrivers 😂 v2 for me, And thanks for sharing

What’s interesting about this build is you are a NHRA license driver and have a record or two in the quarter mile so watching you build a drag RC car is pretty darn interesting for me Doggy and by the way I don’t care for that rear handbrake at all it does nothing for the drifting whatsoever but if you can use it as a trans break now we’re talking

With tapping your throtle you are killing your diffs.
Never had a differential issue on any rc but the ExB Kraton roller 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
That tapping is a bit annoying, I understand why you do it but it's hard on the electrics and diff so be careful mate
I’ve had two esc go out in 18 years and one was due to a fan arrma installed wrong out of 107 rc not bad the odds are in my favor 😂😂😂👍👍🔥🔥💯💯

So many times I see your videos with nice cars & you only run them in your small confined quarters.A let down for sure.Them cars are meant to stretch their legs & breath,not just put around at 1/8th throttle.
The great part about the hobby is coming home and running your rc cars everyday as I do I run 7 days a week with rc even after work and I haven’t run more than twice in 39 days at home so not sure if you just watched the last video as I’ve speed run my rc 5 times in 30 day 🤔🤔🤔
P.P.P.P.P.P throttle control dose not make you look like a noob. We all develop driving techniques that only work for the individual. Some people like Smooth transition and apex controll. Outhers like a little drift. If you are trimming much more than 0.0 to 0.3 percent the servo arm is not in the right position. The truck will turn one direction more than the outher. That's the exact idea of trim. However back to the P's, proper planing prevents pee poor performance. The trafic was a nightmare, your tire fell off and the body clips. How do you show the truck your about to run and not have the body clips?
I like your one time through approach. But observe your video. Ask yourself, did a lot of things go wrong? And if the answer is yes. Record again with less mistakes. The mistakes make you look lazy or noob not throttle control.

Stop pulsing the throttle so much, I understand throttle control is alot when drifting but you want to stay at a more linear throttle increments not on off on off on off. The way you drive is very annoying. Too much throttle disturbs the truck and makes your driving alot more sloppy. Keeping the throttle more consistent keeps your truck more stable and controllable.
Sorry you don’t like my style but it works for me 💯💯💯💯
Apparently you’ve never driven anything with power you have to blip the throttle for more contro in drifting ... even in the 1:1 world
