You should have a small generator in case of next time and maybe an inflatable rubber boat. Flooding happens there too. In the world we live in now, due to climate change, one must be ready and have these things in the house along with a first aid kit, and chocolate bars ( chocolate bars after you have listened to the weather forecast and know a giant storm is brewing , even if you have stocked your fridge with food)

Watching you and your family was when I knew their issues in Hoston. My Son and Daughter say there with 3 boys and I called him telling him to get a hotel but they were blessed and they never lost power, but a lot of long cold night! water issues! Just praying for all the family and just people overall to make it thru again...

Not just the cold tbh. A major thing is being unable to cook if your cooker/stove uses power, can’t even boil water.
My olori, is Nimi that first came to my mind because he's too young for that. I wonder how people that have new born cope. Thank God you got a place now. God bless those who offer to help 🙏
