Aside from being a brilliant jazz trumpeter, Bobby's been so influential as a jazz trumpet teacher to so many of today's jazz trumpeters. And, he's one of the nicest and most generous guys around. He's been a trumpet god to me since I became aware of him in high school - he was one of the judges at a jazz festival where my high school jazz band competed - and he's remained one of my favorite jazz trumpeters and people in the business.
