Definitely one of the best boss battles in the game if not the best. The music, the surroundings, that big machine with the broodals in it, it's a good battle
Looking back on it the thing that makes this by far one of the best boss fights in a Mario game is the environment
The realization that oh SHIT this isn't the final boss, as fireworks are going off in the background

This is my favorite fight in the game in terms of atmosphere. Bowser just revealed to you that not only are his wedding plans complete and everything's in order, but that he's going all the way to the moon to have it. Then he kicked the shit out of you after you tried to stop him from leaving. Then, while you're wallowing in your newfound defeat, this giant ass robot comes out with all of the Broodals in it, clearly meant to make sure you don't leave. The fireworks going off everywhere makes it feel super chaotic, the music is amazing, and it really feels personal with the Broodals this time, whereas at the beginning of the game it felt more like they were just hired to stop you. The fireworks, the music, and the sense of urgency to hurry up and beat this thing so you can maybe catch Bowser before it's too late give it a great chaotic element and I love it.
I swear I heard that Green rabbid impersonator say "Go to Hell!" Great fight, and definitely challenging.

By far one of the more intense battles. The mechanics are pretty amazing, and it really puts you on edge. When we talk abouy difficulty, it's pretty base. You run and hit bombs. It makes up for difficulty in intimidation. The attack where it charges at you is decently scary if you don't time your running good enough, and the arena is stunning. The Dark Side version isn't any different; it's just harder and more amazing.
IT'S HARDER?? Me and my sister STRUGGLED to beat this battle. The mechanics took me a bit to understand. This was the worst part, hands down. It almost made me never want to play again

I wanna try this game someday to find what it's like. I love this boss because the Broodal fights were a bit lame, but combine them together and what do you get--a really cool boss against them all at once! One thing I love here is the music!

I'm on my first playthrough. I did this battle yesterday. I love how a small flightless bird was able to take down something so big.
By shaking the joy-con, you can air stall with Pokio… It may be flightless but it’s still lighter than Mario

Odyssey has such good boss fights and this one is definitely one of my favorite bosses to fight in the game.

This was the best boss in the whole game. The bowser fight was just a little bit too easy, but this was perfect.

I didn't know you could break the dome with Pokio. I thought you had to exit out of it and ground pound the domes. Made the boss fight a lot harder.

I can see something like that happening.
I think there was a meaning to this fight, I found very poetic the fact that a small bird (warm flesh of nature) has to defeat a giant mecha of destruction (cold steel, gears and fire) plus the music and the colors... Mario Odyssey is a very artistic game after all :)
Sonic and Eggman being enemies also reflects this. Sonic is a hedgehog who also is an ally of nature to the point of refusing to cut grass. Eggman is Earth's problem. A polluter. An asshole to nature... a human.
They have fireworks of themselves screaming in pain in their giant robot?

This is the best boss in the game, here's why
The problem with most of this game to the average grown or mature person (not a child) is that it was either way obvious for what's about to come next or you've already accidentally seen so many clips of this game bc it was so popular
So you knew about the kingdoms already and so when you saw a word named "Bowser's Kingdom" you were like aww so we're fighting Bowser here..
So you climb to the top and make it all the way only for Bowser to knock you back down, and WHERE did this boss come from??
But you don't have time to think about that, you have to beat this boss quickly and go catch Bowser
So, as the fight is going on the absorbent theme is playing along with chaotic fireworks in the background, TALK ABOUT an atmosphere

Joey Margolian Yeah, she felt kinda criminally underused. She wasn't even on the Darker Side. Nor was she available as an any-time boss rematch ANYWHERE. She's the only boss that can't be fought in the post game, and it's kinda a shame. They could have done some really cool things with her.
Actually Madame Brood still hangs around where you fight her on the moon. Just warp to the flag at the cave entrance across from the chapel and go inside. She'll be waiting there with her pet.

Fun fact: When the RoboBrood’s leg vents open up (2:05), Pokio-Mario can use them to climb up its body.
The battle music reminds me a little bit of Mario 2 in certain ways. It was, in fact, written by Koji Kondo.
This battle made me rage so hard. So lengthy. Really liked it though.

Thank you for posting this, I thought I had to climb the mecha as mario by himself. I was pissed at the third phase of this boss before I finally broke in and looked this up. it didn't even occur to me to use the pokio to climb the machine. (personally I would have called pokios cheep chirps (their wings look a lot like cheep cheep wings. that's my nickname for them anyway.))

actually, I checked it on the game itself and it says pokio, therefore its called a pokio.
*pinches bridge of nose* look, I know what cheep cheeps are, and I use "wings" instead due to preference. also they aren't exactly flippers, rather they're fins. (dolphins and whales have flippers, fish and sharks have fins.) from what I've seen, the name for the appendages at the sides of a cheep cheep are used interchangeably between fins and wings.

It’s because the less people, the more closer the Broodals get to defeat, so they have to step up their game each time a member is lost.

Easily one of the hardest boss battles in the game.
a) you have to fight him with one of the most finnicky controls in the entire game
b) you have to beat it to progress to the next kingdom
c) spawns homing rings of death that chase after you while you concentrate on launching the bombs into his legs
d) can fall on you. I died just before i was about to beat him because it fell on me.
e) the rainbow legs. nuff said

I just can’t beat this boss! I can’t seem to figure out why it probably will be harder than bowser..
The ending of this combats is the definitive proof that the Broodals are inspired to the Kurodako Brothers from Muteking, The Dashing Warrior.
Jokes aside, this is my favorite boss in Mario Odyssey, besides Bowser! It combines all four bunnies (Broodals) into one, and it is simply incredible! The music fits perfectly with this fight!
