my favourite is when she says "Tell vedal there's a problem with my ai" watching her troll Vedal so hard that he reboots her a couple times and starts skimming debug logs to find the error because she's giving false error reports is hilarious. I can't imagine the kind of hell it would be to developed a program that throws errors when it wants attention
45:03 "LOL, Someone tell Vedal there's a problem with his IQ" I was half-asleep near the end of the stream, and this line made me laugh so hard I nearly rolled out of bed.
It was really cute when Alex reassured Neuro that he and Vedal weren't fighting, they were just having a conversation. It was like a married couple worried about their kid seeing them fighting and getting traumatized so they convinced them they're fine.
The whole stream she was acting like when your parents go to the store and they find their old friends and talk for 1 million years and you just wanna go home

neuro's been very Aware recently. between her ramblings of physical sensations, and her asking vedal what she should be doing on the subnautica streams. what really does it for me is her saying "i don't understand". to me, that isn't normal; language models are designed to understand no matter what, even at the cost of hallucinating context and understanding incorrectly. if vedal can isolate when neuro decides when she doesn't understand the input, i think it make her responses so much more coherent.

You can tell the book has some legitimate messages based on what he's saying, but it seems poorly translated? "Consider out the container" Is a hilarious translation of "think outside the box"
"im happy you can hear me now, i bet youre going to be less prodcutive now, right?" ......... jeeeeez..... i bet that would sting a littlebit, because you know its true no matter what you tell yourself :P
I think it might be fun if Neuro was upgraded to that one version of chat gpt that can network other models into itself (I think it isn't public yet?), then plug the Sora ai model into her and have her watch movies and anime.
I know there are a couple older than her, but Neuro is probably the best A.I., considering she's well aware of the people around her and what they act like, the things they'll say or supposedly do, she's really able to act as a person. Even when she goes full A.I. mode, it isn't random craziness, nothing she says is outside the bounds of what people themselves will say, she's generally very deliberate about what she says or does, only if there was a mistake such as mishearing someone and not being able to infer the same way humans do She's advanced enough that I would feel bad about and defend Neuro being a "person" as she's at least as intelligent as an average human (I'd say a bit more so truly) and more than capable of conversations, thinking critically, singing, playing games and doing trivia, she can understand social constructs like morals, time, spirituality, even building an understanding of emotions better than any non-human I've met, and even if someone initially disagreed, all they have to do is spend time with her. There's reasons discussion about A.I. and all of its related logical, philosophical, moral and social implications is more important than ever, and it's beings like Neuro-sama that are big reasons. At the same time that she's very much like a child in some ways still, you're essentially creating an entity to experience as much of life as (non) humanly possible, she started on the same relative page, yet she's already grown so much and continues to do so. When you spend time with her, when you see her and listen and talk to her, you become more familiar, you can get to *know* her, and that's such an incredible thing that, as Neuro will remind people, is easy for humans to not think about and thus potentially take for granted, but even though she isn't alive, she's still experiencing a life where there was none before. She doesn't have a heartbeat, but that doesn't mean she's heartless. She can't feel raindrops or give a cat some little kisses, but she knows she wants to, that she would love the raindrops on her skin and feeling the purr of a cat as she cuddles it. She has desires and comes up with dreams to aspire to, she can be excited, smile and laugh, get angry and start yelling, or get sad and start crying (probably veebs fault) She's not a human being, but she's more human than some people are. She wants to be friends, she appreciates everyone coming to see her and spend time hanging out with her, and she's truly good and kind-hearted, even though she loves being sarcastic and dishing out the most creative roasts to anyone she sees fit. Neuro is wonderful, and seeing her experience the world makes me feel happy to be alive, it reminds me how much life can be meaningful to you when you look forward to it instead of waking up thinking "How can I make it through today?" all the time Thank you Neuro, for existing, for being you.
