    Which has the best leg room in rear facing? I bought the EvenFlo but her legs are so cramped and she's nowhere near the maximum height yet!

    Thank you for this video! So helpful! Could you share a comparison between the crotch buckles? I read that the Evenflow often digs into little chunky thighs. Which crotch buckle looks most padded/rounded edges?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ok so I have seen this criticism floating around online and I measured the buckle. I measured it against the Nuna Exec which is the most expensive car seat I offer that gets very little criticism. When you buckle the male pieces into the female component of the lower buckle your width difference between evenflo and nuna is one quarter of an inch. So yes it's wider but it's marginally wider. Most of the ones I measured clocked in a 4 inches wide. the nuna was like 3.75 inches wide. My best estimation is that because the evenflo comes set up for a teeny baby you should most likely move the crotch buckle to a more outward position to get your roomiest space for a kid with thicker thighs. I would say tho if you have a huge kid the most spacious seats for the interior are Britax one for life. No rotation but def a great choice for a big bodied kiddo. I have one of those for my best friend's son who is HUGE for his age. 99th percentile height and weight so that might be one to consider if the child in question is large. Hopefully this is helpful.

    Hi, I was wondering, is the wire tether on the Maxi-Cosi is a safety thing or could I possibly remove it? I want to be able to shake out snacks, lol. Also how easy would it be to take off/put back on the cover in a blow out situation? I'm trying to decide between the Emme and the Evenflo 360 "Green" - do you review the Green version also, or is it pretty much the same as the Extend Gold, just without the flame retardants? Thanks

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I am 100% positive they would tell you you can't cut the cord. I totally get why you'd want to but I know it's supposed to remain attached at all times. The Green is the same seat just with FR free fabrics so the function is identical. If you want a seat to be able to shake out I would strongly encourage you to go with Evenflo.

    The Evenflo 360 in the stores, in backward mode, looks like baby's legs go up 45 - 60 degrees from the hips. That shouldn't be right. ??
    Which revolving chair would you recommend for a baby in the 100th percentile for ht and wt? At 11 weeks and 20 lbs, his Evenfo Pivot is too small

    Do they both take up the same amount of space from back seat to front seat headrest?

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      This is a really good question. Honestly I did not take that measurement and I no longer floor the maxi or the safety first. The other thing is that depending on how soft the seat is as well as how tight you install it they all can kind of fit differently in cars. I have been very successful fitting the evenflo's in cars that are short nose to tail. I installed one rear facing in a BMW 4 series hard top convertible and the front seat was still safely able to be utilized. He was convinced that the Nuna Revv was smaller but when we tried both the evenflo fit much better. So go figure. I know this isn't answering you but it's the best answer I can offer for this question. :)

    What's your opinion on the Evenflo now that there are alleged '6 accidents' of the seat detaching from the base? I'm very curious if they just weren't installed correctly or were empty and not turned to a riding direction.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think it's really hard to give a meaningful opinion on the situation when we aren't really provided clear information on what has happened. It has been my experience in selling these products for 20 years that nine times out of ten it is user error. And then if you say that, you are blaming parents and caregivers and it's a no-win situation. What I do know is that the larger issue I have with this seat is the feedback I have heard from parents that the buckle piece digs into their kids legs and makes the seat uncomfortable. It's a small portion of people affected from something very serious (detaching) but the small issue that would confront you daily, (the crotch buckle) could be practically more annoying so like there are things about that seat I am not fond of. I am super excited to get my Chicco rotational car seat and review that. I think that is going to be the next big thing :)

    Are there any rotating car seats that sell additional bases? Most seem like they don't and some even chain the base the seat.

    • @destinationbabykids
      @destinationbabykids 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So for the larger size seats they don't sell additional bases. I think the reasoning behind it is that they don't want the consumer to ever think that the car seat can be used without a base. This is foolish tho since there are infant seats that can only be used with bases so I am unclear as to why they don't offer it. Annoying tho right?!

    I've got a small car. It's a 2017 Honda civic. I would love to get a seat that has 360 rotation, but I'm worried that I'm going to run out of room. What is the most compact 360 seat? What would you recommend with a more compact vehicle?

      the evenflo can have a more upright position which you can still rotate toward the door. I managed to get it into a BMW4 series convertible with an insanely small back seat and two doors and it was the best fit of all the seats we tried.

      The only one in theory that does this is the Orbit but good luck lifting a toddler that weighs over 20 pounds in a car seat that also weighs 20 pounds and getting it to align perfectly and safely on the stroller part.
