    AK - Another good one. Even though you didn't narrate this video, I think this somewhat quiet area spoke for itself.

    Brings back so many memories working in the West Village - when the Halloween Parade was on Fifth Avenue not Sixth and a much more local thing before everyone from all over turned it into a madhouse. The notorious Hudson Street bookstore, Ty's bar, The Dugout which was the last bar before you reached the Christopher Street Piers....and how could I forget the film I saw near the corner of Christopher and West Streets where this guy was able to squat and invert his entire asshole to where it resembled a blossoming flower!! To this day I have never seen that duplicated in any other male movie. This was around 1980.

    I hope you don't mind, I am not a professional artist or post what I draw but I find it such great practice to sketch from your wonderful videos. And I'm finding out so much about NYC too, just wish I could overcome my fear of flying . ^_^

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of people have a fear of flying .
      I hear that Whoopi Goldberg used to have a fear of flying and when she had to be somewhere she would take a train but it often made her look like she wasn't serious about being a professional .
      She spoke to somebody and they told her what the statistics are of how many people died in plane crashes compared to how many died in car crashes and that bit of logic worked for her and she now takes planes .
      I don't like flying in planes either and I haven't been on one in over14 years .
      I would say maybe if you could get somebody that you noted the on the plane with you maybe you wouldn't be as scared .

    • @gardensofthegods

      You might want to draw a place that is in some videos here called something like Villa Charlotte Bronte or Charlotte Bronte Villas in the Bronx ... they are actually in the Riverdale section of the Bronx .
      Some of the videos have very good footage of them and you could make great artwork out of them because they are very idyllic at certain angles .

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might also want to look at some videos of some of the prettiest places in Central Park and the views be on Central Park and I know you would get some marvelous sketches and artwork from that .

    And by the way, the stabilized camera is great, but the older videos where you had a simple setup were even better because your videos had character. It felt like we were actually walking through the streets with you, not gliding through them. Maybe split them half and half. Thank you.

    Why are so many restaurants and bars allowed to have those large vestibules which jut out onto an already narrow sidewalk?

    • @ActionKid
      @ActionKid  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a question for the city to answer 😉 I don’t like it when it makes the sidewalk even more narrow than it’s supposed to be.
