Sis unfortunately your trick is not working in case of N³‐ . You can clearly see on 13:18 that the answer is SP but if we use your trick then it's coming as SP². Although it seemed to be great as it worked for almost all but many exceptions could be there like this that can lead to marks deduction 😅. I would highly suggest you to use original trick that pankaj sir has taught in the video

In its linear structure central N ion forms double bond with other 2N atoms nd central N ion have +ve charge so the central atom is sp hybridized while the lateral ones are sp2. By this formula we can solve 99%of prblms but still there are 1% exception of this. Pankaj sirs method is best but somehow time consuming. You can use whatever method u want 🥲

For I2Cl6----> ICl2^(+)+ ICl4^(-) Here ICl2^+ has SP3 hybridization and (Angular/bent) shape and ICl4^- has SP3D2 (Square planner shape) Am I right By the way I got 99.2594 percentile in jee mains January attempt but subject wise in chemistry i got only 96.8637% in physics 99.6786 and in mathematics 99.8935 tile so i am again preparing some chapter for jee advanced. Now chemistry become very easy by pankaj sir in my aakash institute my Chemistry teacher was Nice but i spend more time solving maths and physics so I haven't studied chemistry well.

that single electron in CH3 is a free radical which in present in unhybridised p orbital of C, hence not counted in hybridisation. In CF3 due to high electronegativity of F it gets accomodated in sp3 hybridised orbital and takes part in hybridisation
